Ticklish sensations during tickling session when actually not tickled

It's my first post in the discussion section, if this has been discussed before moderators please erase this.

I'd like to ask other ticklees if you ever experienced the same thing like me. I didn't perceive it during the actual tickling but my husband showed it to me in a video of me getting tickled. He was tickling me hard on hips and suddenly stopped and began moving to armpits ( I thought) without touching me. All of a sudden I became screaming laughing because I felt very intense tickling ( very short, like 1 second). He asked me "hey what's up, I didn't touch you at all". I looked at the video and he was right. What the hell tickled me? It must have been something in my brain.

Or another situation I saw in the same video: he was tickling me on foot and high inner thigh simultaneously. Suddenly a horrible ticklish sensation struck my body ( not longer than 1-2 seconds), of course I screamed. Right after that my husband did the same to me like before, it tickled a lot but the feeling was very far from the lightning strike.

By the way if I get tickled on a spot that is not that ticklish I can make myself more ticklish by thinking of being tickled on a very ticklish spot. Does it mean I am cheating on myself? I don't think so because I can actually feel it! Doesn't work when I am not tickled at all though - well it does but it's different. It must be all the brain thing.

Somebody ever experienced this? Let's keep this thread real, no fiction please 😀

Never experienced this myself (lack of tickling experiences all round), but it'd seem to make sense to me. If you were expecting to be tickled then the brain could be fooled into thinking that you are. Actually, I have had something *a bit* similar, when I thought someone had brushed my side when they hadn't and I jumped. 🙂

And I don't think it'd be 'cheating yourself', after all its the same feeling and experience. Enjoy it! 😀

My ticklish spots get ahead of themselves too. And my brat boyfriend takes full advantage of it. Sometimes all he has to do is say “I’m gonna tickle you…” and I swear, I feel it! It’s not really in one spot tho. It’s kind of like all of my ticklish spots go “Oh my God… he’s gonna tickle me... and it’s gonna feel like THIS!” and then bam! It’s all over for me. Before he has even touched me I am a giggling, crumbling, helpless mess.

That’s another sneaky little trick my body plays on me, the crumbling thing. On the one hand, I can be surprising strong when I am being tickled, but at the same time, I can’t seem to stand up. Makes getting away kind of difficult. 🙂 I don’t know, maybe it’s that part of me that knows that I really don’t want to get away, making sure that I don’t.

Oh, and let me be the first to say, you really should let us see that video. You know, just to make sure. 😀

I met a girl like you many years ago (high schools...).
She was extremely ticklish and after a joyfull brief tickling (few pokes on her sides) I stepped back at her screams BUT, with utmost surprise, she shouted other two or three loud laughs, twisting her sides exactely as if someone was actually still tickling her.
I got surprised and asked her what was going on, and she just replied that it always happened to her when tickled (that's why she hated it) and added that she was so horribly ticklish that she would even wake up at night with a poking/tickling feeling if tickled in the afternoon!!!!

I do not know if the statements were true but I saw her tickled while nobody was tickling her for real!!!!

Never heard or seen anything like that (or close to that) ever since.

Always going back to the ol' good days, when I did have a tickle-partner and used to have tickle-games for hours, I do remember that the anticipation of prolonged tickling made both of us feel some tickling sensation on the soles right before starting, that you could somehow feel in the guts too... but I always thought about it as something related to the wild body-physiology of the early teenage years 😉

I've had a similar sort of thing happen. If the ler is using light touches and moving quickly to different spots around my body, after a few minutes (or is it seconds!) my whole body just seems to burst into one giant tickle...at this point my body involuntarily shakes like a wet dog and I shift to something more of a squeal than a laugh. If the ler keeps it up, I keep shivering..not sure how long I could take it before completely cracking.

I can say from my experiences that when you're tied up, you really do feel more ticklish, and can sometimes feel like you're being tickled even when it's not happening at the moment. Maybe it's a vivid imagination, or maybe it's just because you know what's going to happen, but it does add an extra level of psychological torment. I am a fan.
