Everyone has the potential to be
ticklish as everyone has the potential
to be nervous... "ticklish people"
just tend to be more nervous. The
sensation of ticklishness exists
because thousands of years ago we
would have slept on the ground, with
little or not cover in a forest. If a
large spider crawled across your belly
it could be about to bite you... so
your body sends a "ticklsh" signal to
your brain.
One possible solution is that people
are more

most inconvenient to be tickled (for
example they are in the
gymnastic "bridge" position, with
their belly upwards). This is why
restraint is so effective, they
think "Oh my goodness if I were to be
tickled now I'd not be able to stop
it!" and before you've even started
they're torturing themselves with
anticipation. The other punishment
techniques that KJ uses increase dread
and break down mental barriers by
tiring the victim and making them
nervous. Also heat and bastinado do
seem to increase sensitivity (as long
as you don't go OTT) presumably
because blood rushes to the area.
Some people have poor circulation
however (you can usually tell come
their hands and feet will feet cold)
and so really are physiologically less
sensitive.
Anybody Ticklish, here ?. 😎
