TMF Football Pool - Week 11 Point Standings!!

I don't know what it is about my good friend Mimi...this is the fourth time she's missed a game to another player by one single TPS point. Almost got the PHI/NYG game, Meems. The only one who actually managed to move up in the standings was Toyou, who claimed two points this week, one from a game, one from the Bonus Question. (Speaking of Bonus Questions, from this point forward, I am gearing the BQ's to have only one winner. I made a few that could have mutiple winners so that we could get some of the point standings up. As we reach the latter part of the season, we need to get some clear-cut winners and make the points more valuable.)

Here are our winners this week:

MIN/GB - Venray

Our Bonus Question asked which of these games would be the closest. Both the MIN/GB and the TB/ATL games were won by a field goal. The following players picked one of these games and got a point: Toyou444, Mimi, German, Giantfan121262 and Tommytikl.

Yes, I saw that! Nearly bit my mousecord in half in frustration. Thought maybe I'd have that game since I picked a TPS of 42, and the actual TPS was 44. Then I check the thread to peek on the other picks I was running against, and blammo, there was maniac with a TPS pick of 43. BLARGH! I feel like I am the first one bidding on contestants row on Price is Right. You know, the one who picks a price of $550 for the new excersize bike, and the last bidder picks a price of $551, and the actual retail price of the bike turns out to be $552...... *grumps*

Ah well, 1 point is better than none, I suppose! Congrats to all point scorers this week!

I have had about 5 games go against me by 1 point. Including last Monday night when Dallas beat the Eagles by a 21-20 count. I had Dallas and 42. Maniac had Dallas and 40. Dallas wins with 41 and I lost the point. Games have been like that all year for me. Close but not close enough.

Geez I feel like the Eagles...I was in my glory last year, all the lucky bounces going my way and this year, I can't get a win, except for a few Bonus questions...

I'm very pleased that you're all enjoying the Pool this year. I was afraid that the changes I made might backfire and water the game down, but I see that it's much more competitive.

I should be making a decision in the next couple of weeks as to who makes the playoffs. To be honest, I wasn't really sure how I was going to handle that this year. It's the one thing that's more difficult this year. Last year, you could only get one point in a week for the whole she-bang. There's a lot of points still at stake in the remaining six weeks. One thing I do know is that NT and Giggleygirl have clinched playoff spots.
