Really? I had not seen any advertisements for partypoker.com in the US since the UGEA was passed a few years ago. But I don't think I've ever seen any sponsor's ads on the TMF that were not in some way related to tickling. Is the TMF actually receiving money from an online poker site. I guess there are stranger marriages than the gaming community and the fetish community, but this surprised me.

Too bad party poker sucks because you can't play on it if you live in the U.S. Pretty cool tho.

ya i saw that and agree its weird and the tmf is probly getting money for advertising for them

Most of those companies moved their operations to friendlier shores, including Party Poker 🙂 I play there and as far as I know there's no issue with US citizens playing there.

It's just someting I'm trying out. 🙂

Hey, whatever keeps this place free for all of us is good in my book. Thanks to Jeff, the mods and everyone involved in keeping this site running for more then 80,000 people for absolutely no cost to any of them.

Well I for one wholeheartedly approve.

I'm glad to see some of the money I've thrown at on-line poker over the years has been re-claimed for a constructive purpose.

😎

Well the forum only benefits if people play after clicking through and joining from here, but thanks for the thought 🙂

It's just something I'm trying, we have a large community and I want to see if a mainstream banner will work here based on our numbers rather than our shared interest.

When we hosted our old site we had 2 such click throughs up and we made enough money monthly to pay for bandwidth used, but they were fetish related sites that we had up so I dont know how mainstream will work....

Best of luck on this though....I hope it proves successful...

Yes. These types of programs are relatively unobtrusive ways to bring in money to cover operating costs, etc. I'm planning to sign up for some of them (offered by various tk/fetish sites) for my site as well. Once you sign up, you just have to let it do it's thing as folks click through and buy stuff. The amounts of traffic/purchases are naturally hit and miss as time goes on. But, every little bit helps to cover costs. If doing the same with a mainstream business works to help cover forum costs, more power to it!

I actually find it annoying that it sorta pops in your face every time you click a link. But i'm never one to complain about corporate sponsorship; if it helps keep the place afloat, all for it. but is there any way to just put a banner instead of this current deal?

I think I'm the worst card player I know so I won't be partaking. But if you ever get "party slots" I'm all over it!:hungry:

Pstars, full tilt, etc. are set up out of the country so it's a loophole for U.S. citizens. I recall some of my friends complaining that they can't play on party poker anymore because the games are soft but I might be mistaken. Either way, very cool.

Personally I would only ever play poker online, where the odds don't favor the casino so they have nothing at stake in tinkering with the system. When you're playing blackjack, it's in their interests to win every time if they can. But when they're just taking a piece of every pot, like in poker, it doesn't matter to them who wins.

:roseglasses: :roseglasses:
I say: why not bring in advertisers other than tickle companies and stuff? We can experiment and see how it goes. I'm open-minded.

its a pity we can't use google ads as they also pay out based on impressions. But what about ebay or amazon, they probally don't allow adult sites but if they do might be something worth looking at. Or something that is like google ads but allows adult sites.
