Do they even acknowledge the day there at all? Good bad or indifferent?
Sorry that might have sounded like a really random question. I just meant because July 4th involves Britain also, USA's independence from Britain. Ok nevermind 😛
Do you people celebrate the anniversary of the Tet Offensive?
On July 4 1776 the Continental Congress in the British colonies signed the Declaration of Independence. This ignited the American Revolutionary War and led to the creation of the United States.it means nothing to me personaly, if im totaly honest i was wondering why you lot kept going on about it,...call me un-educated but its never been explained to me growing up so i guess its not seen as much of a big deal here...![]()

We call it Independence Day here. But I wouldn't expect it to be highly regarded on your side of the pond.

The date on the top of the document itself is "July 4, 1776." That seems like a good reason for choosing the 4th, lacking anything more obvious.No. They signed in on the second, and became officially recognized on the seventh. Nobody really knows why the fourth was chosen.

As a military campaign the Tet Offensive was a colossal failure for the Vietcong
