Toe bondage not safe?

I know that toe bondage is super popular, and lots of Lers will tell you it's perfectly safe, but 9 times out of 10 when I see a video or pic featuring toe bondage the toes are a shade of blue or purple.

If the lee is feeling tingles or loosing feeling, that’s an issue, but it’s up to them to speak up. I’ve safely used toe bondage without any issues whatsoever.

It's good to hear you've used it safely, but what about others who use it? Shouldn't it be up to the 'ler, not the lee, to watch out for what the OP mentioned, toes turning blue or purple?

Seeing the toes turn purple because of the tightness of the restraint is one of the worst things you can see in a video. I don't like it at all 😱😱

The discoloration isn’t neccesarilly an issue right away, and could look worse than it is.

As far as who is the responsible, the Lee is the only one who knows what they are feeling, so in the end it is the responsibility of the lee to speak up. It is also the responsibility of the Ler to keep an eye out. It’s a joint effort.

My feelings too! I always prefer something wide that spreads the contact out to more area.

I think there is a mutual responsibility for safety. The lines of communication should always be kept open and there are ways to do this in any scenario. Like your Lee gagged? Give them a handkerchief in their right hand. If the handkerchief drops, that is their signal. Check in to make sure they are ok. Above all else, trust your gut. If something doesn’t feel right or look right, don’t do it. Avoid joints with rope bondage and loosely wrap multiple times to disperse pressure.

Remember, if you break your toys, you can’t play with them anymore!! 🙂
