no, holy crap is what I kept saying. Scissor Sisters was the band. I have to say, considering how unlikely such an adaption was in the first place, they did a credible job with it.
I like Pink Floyd and I like Disco (believe it or not) but I've never thought they could be combined and sound good. I'll have to check out their website... knowing me, the link will shortly be appearing in your thread.
If you told me 24 hours ago that I'd be going out of my way to hear a disco rendition of a Pink Floyd song for the second time in one night, I would have laughed.
Didn't see the Scissor Sisters on SNL tonight, but I did hear their version of "Comfortably Numb" a few months ago in the local Strawberries. Why is this anymore shocking than hearing Metallica cover Bob Seger's "Turn the Page"?
I'm waiting to hear Lynyrd Skynyd's version of "I Will Survive". Or Led Zeppelin's version of "We Are Family". How bout Pearl Jam covering REO Speedwagon's "Keep On Lovin' You"?
