I do agree with you about the "This is why Superman works alone" he would have either just thought it, or if he had said it, it would have been very gruff, shaking his head, to himself after he got into his car. And it would have been delivered in a "Why the hell do I even have him around" tone.

Either that, or I'd have expected Alfred to say the line. He always has some witty remark for some situation. Best one hadda be during Knigtfall.
