Trading Clips?

I hope this doesn't start a big argument. I'm pretty knew to this site so I wanted to see how people felt about it.

Is it acceptable to trade clips with other people? I'm not sure how I feel about it. Like when I was younger my friends and I used to trade video games and movies all the time, and I saw nothing wrong with that. But for some reason, since we don't have physical copies of tickling clips, it makes it seem like stealing. What do you guys think?

No, it is not acceptable. Actually, if you bought your clip from a respectable website, you normally must have seen a disclaimer that prohibits you from doing so.

However, that does not stop piracy. I regularly get messages from various users (who are not very smart, because admins have access to our PMs!) who ask me to trade clips or artwork. My answer is always the same: I don't share. The only time I made an exception to this is when I posted on this forum some old Loupanther artwork that I had actually paid for on a now-defunct website. However, I did so with the artist's blessing, for the sake of showing his lost stuff to the many. I am no expert, but I am sure that the owner's authorization overrides any contractual purchase policy, at least in here.

There is a side-effect to the illegality of sharing. Many people break the law on purpose, expecting to be punished. Since FTKL shot that "fetish clips pirate gets tickled by an angry producer" video, you have no idea how many naughty girls have been sending him confessions of their piracy in the wet hope that he would come after them and tickle them into repentance. I know, it is a tough life...

I've read through (in some areas, skimmed) this thread. I completely understand why vid producers would recoil at the thought of their work getting traded. After all, they're trying to make money off that stuff (most of them are--maybe some just do it as a hobby and don't care about the bottom line).

However, someone in this thread keeps pointing out that "everyone does it." That's a blanket statement, but it's probably close to being true if not totally true. When I was a teenager, I often taped movies off of the movie channels. If a new song that I liked had been released, I'd sometimes turn on the radio and keep a blank cassette tape in the deck, ready to tape that song when the DJs saw fit to play that song. Essentially, that's the same thing as trading clips. Yet, I did it. I got a free copy to watch/listen to without the people responsible for making that piece of work getting compensated.

I'm not saying this makes piracy okay, but here are some points. First, many times back in the day, when I taped a song off of the radio (you younger ones in the forum probably think that's outrageous 😛 ) I'd eventually buy the CD the song was on. Also, there have been times I've watched a full tickling video that someone has uploaded to Youtube or Dailymotion, and if I liked it, I went and bought other works that the producer of that clip had made.

Maybe that doesn't make it okay. Maybe I'm a thief who deserves to get hauled away in handcuffs, dressed in an orange suit, and locked in a sterile cell with a heavy metal door. I'm just saying that maybe there's a silver lining to this stuff. Maybe it's comparable to going to the grocery store, scarfing down all of the free sample lady's pepperoni pizza, and then heading off to the frozen foods section to buy one of those pies for yourself.

I'm embarassed to admit that I've probably wasted at least 10 thousand dollars on tickling porn; a lot of these videos I had to edit because producers can't make 100% perfect videos that satisfy everyones desire. Say for example I buy a 12 minute video, after I edit it and cut out all the crap, it's usually about 2-4 minutes long. Yeah, tickling porn is a big waste of money, and overpriced. But I still love it.
