A little tip for merging onto the interstate/freeway system

I almost got hit by another big rig earlier today on the southside of Columbus,Ohio.Where I71 hooks up with I270. There was also road construction in that area,along with heavy traffic. Never assume that the traffic will move over a lane,or slow down just to let you on.If I was not paying attention,a fucking Conway rig would have hit my truck on the passenger side,around the hood area.

Good thing for that other driver he did not. He would have got hurt real bad by me. For those that think they are special,and can just bulldoze their way onto the interstates/freeways...................That is how people can get hurt,or killed. When merging,you do not have the right of way. The traffic already on the highway does.


Will I move over a lane to let others on? Usually I will. I will not crash into some other vehicle on my left just to let some impatient fucktard,who thinks they are special,onto the highway.

I know on the 210 freeway here in California you got to be very careful. Once you get out to about Irwindale there are lots of rock quarries there. Therefore lots of big trucks carrying lots of rocks. Needless to say in a battle between a car and giganto truck loaded with a ton or two of rocks you are gonna lose.

Speaking of Ohio drivers! Today at work in the parking lot across from me, two guys in opposite parking spaces backed into each other at like 5 miles an hour. I like how both drivers immediatley get out just to yell and blame everything on the other person, when both obviously were NOT using their mirrors.

When I lived in Massachusetts, I noticed that drivers there tended to approach a busy traffic circle (which they call a "rotary" there) at about 50mph, presuming that a spot would open up when they reached it. 😱 Same problem.
