True story: Fish swims up man's penis

I saw this on the Animal Planet series, River Monsters: Unhooked, last night.

Some guy was standing in the Amazon River, taking a leak. I guess his penis was about a foot above the water.

A parasitic species of catfish swam up the urine stream and into his penis. He grabbed its tail and tried to pull it out but couldn't. It took him 4 days to get to a doctor because he was in such a remote location.

Apparently, this species of catfish follows the urea trail that comes out of the gills of large fish. It normally swims through the gills and attaches itself to the inside of the fish's mouth where it sucks blood.

It took a one of a kind surgery to remove the fish from the guy's penis. It had started gnawing through the urethra.

The fish was almost 5 inches long.

This fish does exist - don't know about this specific instance.
This is a long way from funny. And people say I have a dry sense of humor!
