this is one SWEET day!!!! after 7 LONG, grueling years, the Bruins beat the University of Spoiled Children 13-9. everyone should have seen this coming. all week long, the media put USC in the national title game against Ohio State and how they would match up. in Los Angeles, barely anything was mentioned about UCLA, it was ALL Trojan love. they would tell some stories of their great games, but not ONE media outlet here in LA gave the Bruins a chance. oh, this is SWEET!!!
what everyone should have remembered was that this USC team was good, but they are ROOKIES. you just cant lose Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and Lendale White and expect to be in the title game. they looked shaky all year. plus, if anyone was going to beat USC, they better do it this year because USC will probably win the National Title NEXT year (you heard it here first...). they return almost EVERYONE. they MIGHT lose Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith, but everyone else is coming back. scary....man, they are going to be GOOD.
the UCLA Bruins played with their hearts today. it was in their house. no one gave them a shot. they werent a great team, but they sure wasnt a crappy team either. all they had to do was keep the game close and they knew they could win in the end. USC may say they didnt overlook UCLA, but they did. congratulations to the UCLA Bruins!!!
everybody now...... U......C......L.....A!!!!! UCLA FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!
