UFC 156 Predictions

here are my predictions for this saturdays stacked card

Jose Aldo beats Frankie Edgar via decision- Aldo will stay more active, land more strikes and grind this one out

Rashad Evans beats Lil Nog via KO- Lil nog isn't on the level of his brother nor the level of Evans, Evans ends this one in the 2nd

Alistair Overeem beats Bigfoot Silva via KO in the 1st- I will be surprised if this one leaves minute 2.. Overeem destroys bigfoot and Overeem sets his sights on the title

Demian Mia beats Jon Fitch via submission- yes i know that Fitch has never been submitted and has the best submission defense of all time statistically, but Mia is on another level with his submissions and i think he will catch fitch in one in the 3rd

I'm a massive Frankie Edger fan, so I really hope he wins. Although if I'm honest I think Aldo's leg kicks will slow him down and he'll get the decision.

Rashad beats little Nog via tko in the 3rd.

Overeem beats Bigfoot via KO in the 1st.

So far so similar, but I reckon Fitch will beat Maia, his cardio is better, his wrestling is better and his submission defence is top draw. I think Fitch wins by TKO in the 3rd.

Yeah im excited about this card, hopefully one or 2 of the prelim fights delivers as well because I don't see any way that this main card is a let down

You being a fan of Frankie Edgar have to be happy about the Aldo injury news, came out yesterday that Aldo has a cut above his eye with fresh stitches.. if Edgar can connect on it a few times it will open up and that could become a problem quick for aldo

Indeed 😀 It'll be interesting to see if fighting at featherweight has done anything to Edgar's cardio. I doubt it, but I think he could have used a warm-up fight in the division before fighting the champ.

Cardio may take a bit of a hit in this fight as its his first time cutting to this weight so yeah he probably could have used a warm-up.. I will be interested to see how Edgar tailors his fight-plan to his new division as he is used to relying on speed to an extent and that may become a wash dropping down
