so here it goes fellas... my thoughts and predictions on the upcoming UFC event...

chuck liddell vs jeremy horn - probably going to not live up to expectations and is going to end rather quickly.. both of these guys are incredible fighters, but jeremy horn is going to come out victiorious.. liddell is a counterstriker.. he isnt very aggressive or offensive, so he really only has his striking.. if the fight goes to the ground, horn will take from the top or from the bottom.. liddell shouldnt even have beaten couture (not taking credit away from his victory) but randy looked sloppy and let his guard down at that split second lunge, leaving himself open for that hook.. the new ufc lhw champ is... jeremy horn
randy couture vs mike van arsdale - this will surely be the most boring matchup of the night... wrestler vs wrestler... i expect 95% of the fight to be spent in the clinch, guard/halfguard/side, and it is definately going to be a snoozer... overall.. i give this one to couture because the man is a true fighter and as long as he has his head on straight this time, van arsdale should be no problem... couture by GnP late late into the match or it goes to a decision
frank trigg vs georges st pierre - THIS will be an excellent matchup.. st pierre is one of the most promising upcoming welterweights, and if he hadnt slipped into that last second armbar, would have already defeated hughes and become ww champion.. frank trigg is a cocky SOB whos only strong point is his strength... hes not a very good striker, not well versed in submission.. its going to be a battle though.. st pierre had a hard time with 'mayhem' miller who i think is a joke.. so hopefully he has trained a little harder for this fight... st pierre by tko
joe doerkson vs matt lindland - all im going to say, is matt lindland better get KTFO quick or this one will be more boring than the couture fight... damn greco-roman wrestlers.. doerkson by TKO or KO
tim sylvia vs tra telligman - this one will be a banger.. sylvia hasnt done shit since frank mir broke his arm.. but telligman isnt a top class fighter either... he trains with lions den (shamrock, vernon white, etc) but there is nothing really impressive in his game... someone is going down by KO... i really dont care who... my money is on sylvia
diego sanchez vs brian gassaway - diego is in his prime.. someone is going to stop him but gassaway is not going to be the one... he was supposed to fight dave strasser (who my buddy down here used to train with) but strasser pulled out.. gassaway is merely a stepping stone... expect a short fight... sanchez by GnP or submission in the first round
? vs trevor prangley - david terrell was supposed to fight, but now i have no idea who they got to replace him... ill update when i find out..
james irvin vs terry martin - should be interesting... irvin has only lost to mike kyle.. martin has never lost and beat rich franklin's little bro... so it should be a good battle... my money is on irvin
