your rule is gold, but now analyze the contest in which we are: a person makes a product, another person don't like it.
As far as it goes, there is freedom of speech, unless it become abusive, racist, denigratory or whatever else may cause harm (psychological or physical) to another person.
I may not agree with what a user may say, but here we have a product presented to the mass of potential customers, and a person that is expressing an opinion....no more no less like you would do on amazon after buying a new mixer and saying how much you love it or how much it sucks.
Do they censor or say "don't review a product please if you have something negative to say"? I have never seen such thing, and the nature of the message is commercial, so I guess that anyone selling material wanna have feedback, to know what to change and what to keep.
Now, still using amazon and the mixer; if the mixer is good, and one person has a bad experience with it; you will see the product with 1 star review and 100 5 stars reviews....which means that a potential buyer knows that the product is great, but there MAY be a flaw somewhere (and which product does not have flaws? Cmon); this will not change the perception that potential customers may have of a product; just make them more aware.
In this case someone didn't liked something made by TB, he has the right to say what he does not like, politely and respectfully; then he should avoid to continue to post about this or that producer that he didn't liked the clips, and the story is over.
From what you said it seems like if someone don't like a clip or a producer should stay quiet, otherwise other people may get the idea that the product is not good and loose sale income...well that's called censorship, and is illegal on internet as much it is on physical soil (Not familiar with UK laws but you should have a similar amendment in your constitution that allow people to express their opinion, right?).
If he didn't liked the clip is his problem; as far as he comment once, don't continue to post in anything that TB post saying the same things and just move on no harm is done; don't you think?
TB sells a bunch; one comment would not affect him for sure; especially because many likes his work; then we are talking about something that cannot be demonstrated anyway (ticklishness); and let's remember that even if a model is faking; we are buying clips to enjoy a fantasy, so if she fake well I am happy...are you complaining if green lantern is not really flying but is suspended with wires? if there is no thor and spiderman but they are just CG? On a porn movie do you ask for a proof that a girl had an orgasm?
When you go to the theater you buy a ticket for a show; in our case we buy a clip for a show; same exact thing; then if a model is truly ticklish is good, otherwise it is fine anyway 🙂
You have a great power; the one to moderate and control how the flow goes on a forum; but this imply that you must also be careful to not illegally shun people; the line is pretty thin and sometimes people just get involved personally, while they should be super-partes and look at the facts, not at what they think is right or wrong.
I am sure that your message was just to tell someone to not exceed with certain comments, but the words used transmit more like a suggestion to not bash on producers, did I misunderstood your thoughts?
