A good friend of mine, when recently asked (by me) to rate her ticklish spots on a scale of 1 to 10 (it was actually part of a joke, but she gave it her all for the hell of it), gave one of her highest ratings to, of all places, her ears... she rated them a 7. Her neck, meanwhile, she put her highest rating to... an all-out 10. Most everywhere else was between a 4 and a 6, except for a couple of 0's.
Of course, a ticklish neck isn't all that odd a notion. Neither are ticklish ears, really... but they aren't exactly common areas on which we seem to focus. I can't help but wonder why; I don't think that, in the Greek proportion sense of things, ears are any less attractive than are, say, toes. And if there are people who like arms, or tummies, why not necks? This girl's neck is BEYOND lovely; she was teasing me at one point, craning her head around so I could get a good look, and I found myself staring. Smooth, curving perfectly into her shoulders, soft, unblemished, fair... I don't think I've ever really focused on someone's neck, before.
Why is that?
A while back, I posted a thread which was, in fact, making a not-so-subtle mockery of a certain behavior pattern common to foot fetish types on these boards. I cracked a few nuts regarding an "elbow fetish" that I painted myself as having ( and got a picture, subsequently, which almost gave me one
) but subsequently received a PM from somebody who read the thread, and told me that the outside of their elbows is in fact their most ticklish spot... nibbling, in particular, drives them wild.
I've done a bit of research since then, and I've managed to find... amongst other things... people whose most ticklish places include: 'point' of elbows (1), chin (1), forehead (2), front of knees (2), ankles----but not feet (3), tops of feet----but not soles at all (2), neck (2, including the aforementioned), ears (1 who placed them at the top of the list), and a few which are... a little naughtier than I want to admit inquiring about, but still "unusual," 😉
Why is it that these places receive so little focus? This question is partly rhetorical, as I myself have admittedly deprived them of what appears to possibly be much-overdue attention, with regards to those that I myself have been with. Why do we focus on "feet, belly, ribs, armpits," and to a lesser extent "legs, waist, butt, breasts," but leave so much out? Are faces less sexy than feet? Are elbows less appealing than knees? I'm honestly very curious as to what others might think on this matter.
