Update!- Contemplation (Love Hina)

This is my first 'regular' picture in quite some time. Its also only
the second time I've drawn this character. And on top of that, I
haven't been drawing much at all, so it may or may not look subpar
in quality. I like it and am happy with it though.

This is of course Motoko Aoyama, from Love Hina, contemptlating
about so many different things. Like school, her life, her friends,
her sister, love, and Keitaro. So I simply call this
one "Contemplation".

Her left shoulder looks higher up, and thats because I was going to
draw her in a different pose and I ended up not changing it somehow.
As for her hands, they are just clasped together. It might seem like
her left hand is reaching into the arm of the other sleave, but
thats just draping. I never was good with that sort of thing. Meh.
I'll get better.

Ah. Nice portrait of Motoko. You seem to have her thought process broken down to the most intricate of details.

I love it, especially since Motoko was my favorite Hina girl.

Thanks alot. I'm glad you like it. I figured this picture should be about discernment. So since she's seriously contemplating the things in her life, and the issues she's confronted with both as a younger sister trying to make her big sister proud, being a student, a swordswoman, and the issues of her femininity and how that will later work in to who and what she's going to be about. Its really easy to relate to her character both in the beginning and later on in the series. For me anyways

Motoko is my favorite too with Mutsumi tied for first, followed by Kitsune and Haruka tying it for second. Ironically, Naru is not my favorite Hinata girl, dispite the lead role. I like all of the equally, but Motoko and Mutsumi definitely stand out more for me.

I have more Love Hina pictures in the works. I might have another finished sometime next week, if I can set aside the time to finish it.

@ Rajee- Thankies. The hair is really important. And this isn't actually a kimono she wearing, its her regular kendo uniform. If it was a kimono or a yukata I would have put some sort of design on it.

Great, now I need to draw girls in kimonos! That should be fun though.

@ AphxA- I actually didn't put much shading into this one, but if its worth the mention, thanks I guess.
