Update from Colombia

Day 1 in Colombia and an eventful one at that. We received our beautiful baby girl. She is 8 weeks old, very alert and loves to examine her world. She was so interested in examining everything today that she was just up and coo'ing all day. Very good baby. My son handled the new sibling extremely well. I think he thinks the baby is his only right now...he follows everywhere I go and offers to watch the baby if I need to get up to get something. Its ok mom, I'm here..

Well after all the excitment and the long flight yesterday I am beat. I will send venray a picture. If he wishes to post for me he has my blessings.

update day 2

Hi all,

Things are going well, its a quieter day after all of yesterdays hubbub.

Jen,

Matthew is doing great with his new sister, however he started getting a little ill on the plane and ended up with a fever and tonsilitis, we took him to the great doctor available to us at the orphanage (the head nurse speaks perfect english so it helps) he is under medication and on the mend. He wants to be to ontop of his sister for my liking right now as I don't want the baby to get sick. Normally you would be glad for all the attention he is giving the baby. Oh well the baby is crying, back to being mama...more updates later..
