Verifying as a Real Person

I got a recommendation to this forum by a friend and have made an account. I have been reading about meetups and the like, and have have seen users talk about getting verified so users know we are real people. The email confimation for Tapatalk for me is glitched, but I believe my specific TMF profile is confirmed. Is this all I need to do?

I dont have a profile pic and for privacy reasons I probably wouldnt keep a public photo anyways. Is this a turnoff? I would be more than willing to video chat/ send pics back and forth so the other user would know I'm real. These may be common sense questions but I am just wondering about the etiquette of the forums.

Verification is a simple matter of having a quick.skype chat with TMF Jeff (or perhaps another mod, I have not checked the updates)

Just to ensure the pic on your profile is really you or you are who you say you are.
