The phone number was that of the Humane Society, and Daisy was an eight week old black Labrador retriever. They received 643 calls in two days.

Yep. You're right. That number was changed to protect the Humane Society. I didn't actually change it. The person who sent this to me changed it.

It just really was so creative I wanted to share it with all of you.
