Yeah, I think some basic boot camp would do these guys a shitload of good--either that or it'll bring to light their true mental state and possibly get them help -_-

boot camp is an exellent idea that should help teach them some respect. I usually wouldn't reccomend that because I don't like all that yelling and yelling at the kids isn't really all that helpful.
 
No, not kids who aregod - but punks like that just NEED to be taken down a peg, as nothing else seems to work.
 
yeah if I were the judge I would sentence them to atleast a mmonth of boot camp but only a boot camp I knew would not hurt them and would really be trying to help them. I know some military officials are corrupt.

When I attempt to imagine, for even a second, the terror and fear and horror that girl must have felt throughout that whole ordeal, I have no mercy whatsoever for her attackers.

The only one who might conceivably deserve some slightly reduced verdict would be the one who turned the video over to her Mother, who eventually notified the police. The others? Waste `em. They're a drain on society. They're consuming vital oxygen that could be better utilized by my kitchen dish sponge.

Sound harsh? Lemme ask you this? Would YOU have ever conceivably commited such an atrocity on another human being(or animal, for that matter), for no reason whatsoever but than to get your video on the Net?

If you answered "Yes!", then you need to consider suicide, as you are serving no vital function on this lovely planet. Seriously. Kill yourself. Do us all a big favor. You're just another dumbass on a planet full of them.
 
It isn't about feeling sorry for them it is about fixing whatever mental probelms they have so they can eventually become proper,working citizens of society and if you just lock them up and forget about them then when they are released from jail they will be worse and cause more problems then we bargained for. Oh and do not forget they threatened this girl that if she went to police her next beating would be worse! There is something seriously wrong with thees girls and they need help immediately!
 
Sadly, Medicare mental health funding has just recently been slashed to shreds by the Feds.

So, gazing into my crystal ball: I see maybe six months (tops) of juvie detention, perhaps with some parole. Maybe not even that. Maybe alittle community service, some hugs, kisses, and blowjobs for their case-workers, and home-free to beat on Mom & Pop, set fire to the dog, and get their revenge on a poor girl who did nothing but accept an invite over to some "friends"...
 
OMG I certainly hope not. Perhaps they should receive a female probation officer if they are to be released but really they should probly be placed in a mental health facility where they can be evaluated for any preexisting conditions! I would imagine there is an anger problem.

They would indeed seem to be exhibiting slight anger issues, yes.

I don't see it as anger management so much as stupid. If we could just remove the stupid. Granted, we'd lose a solid 85% of humanity, but the gentle beings that inhabit the planet, be they human, animal, or other, would certainly benefit in the exchange.
 
I decided to go and research some more on this.

The girl apparently posted some 'trash talk' on her myspace. 6 girls went and got 2 guys to watch the door and then invited her over. The girls proceeded to beat her to unconsciousness, waited for her to wake up, and beat her again. The latest I saw is that she has still not regained full vision in her left eye, or full hearing in her left ear. The beating/video is roughly 30 minutes long.

After getting arrested the six girls were joking about the whole thing in the holding cell. There is some good news I saw, apparently all 8 of them are getting tried as adults.

There's my little update.

I don't understand how you can try them as adults though;yes they commited an adult offense but they thought like children or rather teens and that's exactly what they are. I do feel sorry for the girl but I want to give them a punishment that is fair and will teach them a lesson. I just don't think jail will teach them anything good.
 
Well, it's true that they were as petty as teens, but they had a fully pre-meditated attack that was extremely brutal. They went and found boys to guard the doors as look outs, and purposefully kept her from leaving so they could continue to beat her. Childish as it may be I find it more terrifying that a year or two difference and it would be a moot point, they would be adults.

It's a shame. I do believe that they could have used help when they were younger. Now, I'm not saying it's too late for them, but they would have to want help for any change.

Honestly I prefer they go to jail over juvie. In jail they will have full access to therapists, and depending on how they act they can be forced to go to sessions, it's not so in juvie. My real preference is that we would allow sentencing to include the ability to force people into mental health institutions. Sadly it is much harder to gauge that, as opposed to jail time.

If they want help I hope they get it, if not, I hope they spend their time in jail wisely.
 
Ah, well, I said my stuff on this case, and I don't see how further engagement should do me any good. So, instead of pointing fingers at others, I'm gonna do something to prevent things like these not to happen, if only with my two cents.
If I ever have children of my own(and we all pray that won't happen), I'm gonna teach them martial arts (and by that I don't mean just teaching them to kick asses, martial arts is about philosophy as well... strike only when defending yourself or others), and devote time to them to let them grow into fine individuals, that watch out for each other (now, I know martial arts aren't everything, the devotion of time means for overall, taking time to teach them rights and wrongs). It's not gonna help in this case, but if we all learn from this experience (as the saying goes, Wise men learn on other people's mistakes), we'll see just what consequences can bad parenting cause (after all, I'm sure their parents could see it somehow, or raise them in other way).
So, instead of just sitting here and writing, I'm gonna take this lesson in the real life, save it for the future.
 
wow.... this pisses me off to no end. how can these children actually do such things to each other? people are just so disgusting these days, and imagine the numbers of teens currently in north america that are similar to or worse than these girls? what is our world going to be like when these people are the dominant adults in our world? it scares me.

i can remember back in my days (not even that long ago!) of being a teenager, if somebody had a beef with another, or even if a whole group did, that one person or the leader of the group would challenge the individual to a 1-on-1 fight, and it was settled. it was fair, and there was none of this cowardly eight-on-one or 40-on-three (yes, that did happen recently in Toronto I believe) attacks. all i can do is shake my head in disapproval and hope that these minors get charged as adults!
 
If i was the father or Bf of that girl i wouldnt hesitate on finding those girls and doing some nasty things to them. Maybe those girls knew that their victim didnt have any connections to some gangs so they knew she was an easy prey.

But i heheh....do have some connections and can well...be an ANIMAL to whoever hurts my family or friends. Girl or no girl, if anyone did that to someone i loved i would find them and oh well.......

My friends and i will beat those girls like we beat men and make sure they apologise to my Gf right in front of her.

So yeah, if anyone wishes to attack my loved ones go ahead. I'll just find u.

What about punishment tickling certain circumstances.
Take for example in this situation, where those girls who did that, were deathly ticklish and hated absolutely hated being tickled, were to be held down and tickled unmercifully as punishment! The punishment fitting the crime in a grande scale! Literally tickle tortured to the point of embarrassment levels to the extreme and then broadcast it for all to see on You Tube!

What will they get instead? Some slap on the wrist? It is obvious they care not about the possible consequences but if the punishment fit the crime perhaps those punks would think twice about their actions.

Well boris I wish it was that simple;I am sure those girls are ticklish and do hate being tickled because they are so tough and some of them so small but tickling is not going to fit this crime. I can understand if you have a young 3-5 year old and you don't want to spank her or put her in time out so you give her a five minute tickling. Or if your 13 year old daughter is being really sassy and is acting moody because she is in a bad mood so you tickle that attitude right out of her but not in this case. I would imagine that if you tickled thouse girls for even 12-24 hours it would do no good and they would learn nothing from it. Like I said I wish it was that simple but I just don't think it is. You may be onto something but maybe not.

No way. Tickling them would be the last thing on my mind if my loved ones got beaten like that.

Get the girls and beat them like an animal. Make sure their friends watch. Keep them for several days and feed them scraps of food left on the floor in your spare time.
 
Blue what is that going to help. The most you are doing in that case is going down to their level. It proves and helps nothing at all! Violence is never the answer.

there is no way i can sit there and do nothing when one of my loved ones has been beaten like that. I'll let others do the job of teaching the girls it was wrong, make them feel guilty etc.

But my job as the relative or Bf of the girl is to seek revenge and teach them a goooood lesson.

If u were my Gf i would make those girls apologise in front your face Queenbee.
 
Blue, I'm all for eye for an eye. Honestly if the girls got the crap kicked out of them I'd feel a little better, it would feel like justice. It wouldn't be though. Even in an eye for eye system, you're talking about going beyond that. As much as revenge is tempting, what would keep their loved ones from wanting to do that to you, or escalate off of it.

I honestly don't disagree, if it was my daughter or gf or wife, i'd want to knock their teeth down their throat. I'd also feel awful afterwards because they're 16 and I most likely would have shattered their jaw and would be looking at very serious jail time (assault on a minor and boxing experience = bad things).

Tickling would just be ridiculous, I say flog'em instead. Good old fashioned tree branch solved problems for centuries. Don't think I've ever heard of a group of young women from the 1800's ever inviting someone down to their plantation mansion after seeing that they called them a brazen hussy on the town board. (I went with the plantation aspect because I feel this primarily happened based on the girls being spoiled brats...cause pretty much all high schoolers I know act like that).
