C`mon now

Last night was very mild compared to some of his old storylines where he fought with his own kids and was unfaithful to his wife.

Yeah, this storyline is tame compared to some of the stunts he's pulled in the past. Thing is, NOBODY wants to really see Bret Hart wrestle. The guy could barely move... and that's when he wasn't on crutches. I don't want to see him tarnish his legacy by participating in this nonsense.

Love him or hate, and Ive said this before, Vince McMahon will do what the fans want if you ask me.

Think about it, you dont see David Stern throwing on a pair of shorts and posting up Dwight Howard because of what's going down in the wake of ex-ref Tim Donaghy said about his league? Do you think if Roger Goodell wrongfully suspened a NFL player, you think he's lacing up a pair of cleets, putting on pads and under armor and going out to run cross routes?

Vince McMahon knows how he's seen in the eyes of most wrestling fans and he knows alot of them would love to see him get beatdown once or twice.

The Bret/Vince angle was great until they had Bret get his leg broke. Why? Cause it's been done so many times before. Stone Cold Steve Austin got "hit by a car" before a major event. I think so did Triple H.

And yeah, Vince has been way more evil in the past. Like drugging Linda McMahon so he could be with Trish Stratus.

If he really listened to the fans he would cut this PG crap .

bret hart does not need to do with mickey mouse bullshit. Hes better than all of the raw and smackdown roster combined. He must be really hurting for money. So sad, one of favorite wrestlers drawn in to this romper room bullshit.

Now that there is no legit competition to WWF - they can do whatever they want. Lately, they have been pissing me off and really throwing out low-brow asinine story lines.

The only well-played one recently was the short-lived rivalry between Kofi and Orton. It was refreshing for once to see one of the 'good ones' rain hell for a change.

Lately, its just Cena getting his ass kicked yet again by someone else. Pathetic. Whatever happened to 'showmanship'

[(FYI - I know, non-wrestling fans; it is staged entertainment, like the Hills, Jersey Shore and whatnot - only much much much better)]

I agree about the Kofi/Orton feud, very well-played. When Kofi dump paint on the "Orton-mobile", they were really heading towards something brilliant. But of coarse it got dropped. And Bret got hit by a car.:sarcasm:

Vince doesn't always do what the fans want. I think it's more a matter of the fans being to stupid to realize that as long a the money comes in Vince doesn't care if you like it or not. Buy the merch, and he makes money. Order the PPV and he makes money. Watch the TV programs and he makes money (ratings = advertising= profit ). Stop supporting the product and Vince will change it to bring back the audience.

As for the title of the thread, all I can say is...

DUH!!!

Hart vs McMahon is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Bret Hart can not wrestle anymore people, do you understand this. If the man so much as bumps his head it could kill him! It's going to suck ass like ass has never been sucked before. A most unfortunate end to the career of one of the very best in ring worker of all time.

No one is expecting Bret to come close to what he was before. Everyone knows what happened to him and how limited he'll be in the ring.

I expect Vince to have his ass kicked by Bret. Vince will take all the bumps. It'll be similar to his matches with HBK and Hogan at WrestleMania.

They have matches like this every year that aren't booked to be a wrestling clinic, just to entertain.

I totally agree 100%. I would rather watch the divas than waste my time with this match. This will go down as the one of the worst, over-hyped, nothing about nothing matches in Wrestlemania history. If Bret is really stupid enough to ruin his rep like this, at least he should have chosen a ppv with less exposure.

I think it would have been better to have the Hart Dynasty attack Vince the week after he kicked Bret. Vince considers firing them, but then realizes humiliating them is better. So he picks two of the biggest toughest guys and challenges Bret and his nephews to a 6 man tag at mania. This way The Hart Dynasty gets some exposure, and Bret can camp on the apron and just get the win with the Sharp Shooter. This wouldn't be a shining in ring moment for the best there is, was, or ever will be, but at least the match would be decent.

TickleFiend: I remember WrestleMania 19 and Hogan/McMahon wasn't bad for a brawl. If I remember right they "beat each other bloody". Hart/McMahon will actually be worse, and it is unfortunate because with all the personal back story, and Bret's great in-ring skill he and Vince could have told one hell of a story. The only way to make sure Bret doesn't get killed now, is if the match goes just long enough for him to close line Vice and put him in the sharp shooter.

The one thing Bret said he didn't want to become was a wrestling cliche, but in the end he has become one of the worst representations of that in the history of the business. After WCW, and then his book, he should have closed that chapter, or maybe do a column on wrestling for the Calgary Sun. It's very sad to see a somebody you admire as much as I do him end up this way. It's like being a fan of The Dynamite Kid, and seeing him in a wheel chair, you just shake your head.

Yes, Bret has ruined his legacy by returning for 3-months.

Coming back isn't going to ruin it. The man has a history for being one of the true greats when it comes to the in ring aspect of the show. Every thing he did was to make the guy he was with look better, and served the greater good of the ringside audience. On the mic the man was limited, but he was still able to get his point a cross in a very direct and unflashy style (that sort of made him unique in and of itself). He was half of one of the greatest tag teams of all time, and was one of the WWE's biggest international draws. The match with Vince is going to be so bad it will be worse then an Dave Arquett become WCW world Champion, and that is what will ruin a near 30 year legacy.

IT'll ruin it for you. Everyone else will remember him for his excellence in the ring.

Everyone knows Bret can't do what he once could. He was forty when he left the WWF. He came back as a 52-year-old stroke victim.

I know this has more to do with your hatred of Vince and disappoinment that Bret is working with him again. Get over it.

I think you need to "get over it" I haven't mentioned anything about Vince other then the fact that he is in the match. So why don't you try and stay on topic instead of doing a bad impersonation of FlockofSeagulls. As the old saying goes, you are only as good as you last match, and this is going to be one of the worst match ever.

For someone who hates Vince McMahon as much as you and has sworn off the WWE product, you sure do keep up with it a lot. And the part that you seem to focus on most is Bret/Vince.

You're taking fake fighting too seriously. You think it's okay to allow non-wrestling related individuals into the WWE HOF but you're disgusted by Bret having another match. How is it any less credible?

Well I think just about everybody knows somebody who follows it, and I am no exception. Like me this friend thought the entire Hart/McMahon idea was stupid, and he told me the match was about 10 minuets of waisted time. How often have you heard about a Bret Hart match being a waist of time. Maybe you can find faults in some of his interview/promos, but his matches are all gold.

Well lets see. The Wrestling Business, it's a show, it's about entertainment. If Vince has decided he wants to have a "wing" of the Hall of Fame for non wrestlers he feels contributed to one of his events then I say "Nobody Dies so it's a good thing." Bret's entire career was built around the fact that he was fantastic in the ring. Arguably one of (if not) the best of all time. Now he gets into the ring, in a situation where an accidental bump to the noggin could kill him, so he can have a really bad match with Vince McMahon. Like I said before, when did you have here about Bret Hart having a bad match? I don't think any of us has ever seen him actually have a bad match with anybody. However my friend told me the match with McMahon at Mania was horrible, not just bad, but horrible. What next, a wheel chair revenge match between Draws and Brown?

And for this people payed how much for on PPV or even went to the arena... and you wonder why I think wrestling fans are moron now.

Bret's return didn't kill anyone, did it?

You can think of Bret what you want. Everyone else will remember for being the best there ever will be.

I will always remember him as the best. I just thought it was a bad move for him to have the match. There are allot of people who saw Mania who don't know anything past the last 10 years and have know idea how great the guy was before the concussion ending his regular career.

Durf. =P

Vince is a business man. He's a money-maker and he's one of the few that is ballsy enough to allow us to really see what lengths he'll go to to turn coin. What he shows us is what is happening all day every day in the Corporate World. We just don't see it broadcasting 'live' on Fridays and Mondays. 😉
