The title of the Retro-Tickling thread got me thinking:
What is the earliest example of tickling-torture you've ever seen commited to film/video? I don't mean playful tickles in Hollywood movies, but as a fetish activity.
I have a video called Bizarro Sex Loops which features old B&W and color reels of a variety of S&M/B&D acts from the `60's and `70's. One of them is called "Whips, Ropes & Feathers", and I'd probably date it at mid/late-`60's. It's the oldest example(on film) that I can think of. Anyone seen anything even older?

Dr. Bill, I ended up buying a bunch of those "Bizarro Loops" videos from the Something Weird video company back in the mid-90s. If you go thru the list they have, there's quite a few of these early tickling shorts, all of them silent unfortunetly. There was also a good tickle scene in one of the "wrestling babes" tapes. (don't ask me which one, my copy was messed up and I never saved it.) But there was one cute one called "Bunkbed Battle", I think, that had two heavyset gals each in a bunkbed. The gal on top dangles her feet and the other starts tickling them.
Problem is, there's just so many of these darn tapes, it's tough to find what's where. Best bet is to order a catalog thru their site.
I think the earlist of these I've seen is a horribly grainy black and white short of a girl, mid-30s, who's asleep, another woman, mid-40s, who comes in and ties her up, then tickles her with a thread(??) for her money.
This appears to be from the early 50s, the women look to be much older.

Something Weird

Yeah, `tis a shame that the loops are all silent. Most or all were probably from old arcade peepshow machines or stagfilms. I kinda dig some of the old doo-wop ditties that they chose to add as soundtracks to the Bizarro Sex Loops tapes. My favorite tapes from Something Weird are probably the old trailer(preview) tapes for horror/sci-fi movies. I get this odd misplaced nostalgia watching `em, even though most were alittle before my time.

Too bad the beautiful Miss Page never did any specifically tickling oriented shoots. Some of the bondages she was put into would have only benefitted from alittle feather-play..

TAO Productions compiled a video with several scenes from the 60s and 70s (silent with music soundtrack). It's called "Tickling Scenes", and I love it! The first scene is the best one: A nude woman tied spread-eagled to the bed, and another woman in a transparent nightgown tickle-torturing her everywhere, and I do mean everywhere! The victim's jolting and jerking makes the scene look very real. 😎

I've seen this clip, Hal. It's a real winner, although I would've prefered the gal in the see-thru nightgown to be tickled instead. Her feet were absolutely beautiful! I'll have to check out TAO Productions.

That sequence you speak of sounds very similar to a clip from Bizarro Sex Loops Vol.24 called "Torture By Tickling". Was the transparent nightgown red? Anyway, thanks for the tip on Tao Productions. Good that somebody took the time to ferret-out the choice stuff from the chaff.

That transparent nightgown was red, Dr. Bill. The gal who's tied up has her legs stetched out and the binding attached to her ankle has some slack. The other girl walks up and kinda bounces her foot on the ankle binding, that's where you really see how hot her feet are.

The 1st scene was fun, but the rest...I remember two films of that era. One was a bearded guy schackled a woman to a bed, feather tickled her, ball gagged her, tied her legs up then...--the 2nd had two girls push a guy in a pool. His revenge was to tie them nude to a bed , and feather tickle them. Anybody know of said tapes?..Bill

Just a reminder when viewing tickling clips before 1980s. As others have mentioned briefly in this thread, for those whose fetish preferences (and I think we all know how strong these can be) include age parameters, you should keep in mind that invariably, people in the 1960s and 70s looked much older for their age than today. Health-wise -- and this is no value judgment -- smoking and drinking were done much more frequently back then, and TV and film reflected this. Also, dietary standards were different. People regularly used lard in cooking, before cholesterol and trans-fat were even in the public consciousness -- and this also sped up aging. Just check out any old "You Bet Your Life" reruns with Groucho from the '50s. The women will come out, and you figure "mid- to late 30s," then she'll say she's 19. Like I said, not a value judgment, but it's simply a cultural reality of time. There was no fitness craze until the early 80s. Before that, running became a big thing in the 70s, but it was more trendy and faddish than about fitness. Schwarzenegger has been credited with bringing fitness into the forefront in the 70s, but it was more about bodybuilding and the look of muscles than being healthy until the benefits of anaerobic fitness were studied.

That's today's history lesson. Don't worry, this won't be on the test.
