Upgrades...

I added auto port scanning at boot awhile ago, and I do my email incoming AND outgoing nowdays. Anybody else have more ideas, this looks like a good place to post them...on Vens "dime", so to speak..🙂 Q

Here's a few suggestions...

Dont download any zip files from email

Dont download any files with double extensions (i.e. nameofile.gif.exe) many email viruses hit like that

Dont download ANYTHING form someone you dont know

Dont download anything from someone you DO know without verifying.
(it might not be from them at all)

Like Q...set your virus checker to scan ports and outgoing as well as incoming mail

Like Ann...try to keep your address book in a file and not keep it active.

My anti-virus program not only checks incoming and outgoing mail, but also adds text to the bottom of the message saying:

Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
