This topic is something that I have always liked to discuss because I think it is more common even for people who are outside of the fetish? How many here have ever been woken up or woke someone up by tickling there feet? For me it is both. I remember from an early age sleeping with my feet out of the covers and would often receive foot tickles to wake up. I went through a period of being embarassed of that, but now again I sleep with my feet out of the covers, but since I am usually up before my wife I don't get the morning tickle. I sometimes do that to my wife to wake her up she does not mind. My father often tickled my mothers feet as he was off to work if she had her feet on the recliner or propped up on the couch arm. (Sometime I wonder if it is genetic and this was a way how they teased eachother privately) as it did occur often. Does anyone remember this being a part of their life or currently do this now. Would be interesting to know.

Thanks

After I saw my father getting a broken nose from waking my mother like that, I wouldn't even dream of attempting it. And waking me up by tickling is a very very bad idea...okay, waking me up is a very very bad idea period. 🙂

A few times.

I was a little kid when my mother did it to me, but it was only a few times. When she found out that I hate it, she promptly stopped. To this day, being woken up by tickling, would emit an explosive anger response from me.

A word of caution - don't do it to me. Ever.

I'm not fond of being woken up at all, any way, but if I have to be woken up, it has to be through an alarm clock. If it's from knocking on the door, or from a person's voice, or from being touched, it pisses me off to no end. When I get up in the morning, I do not want to wake up to the sound of someone talking to me. Music? Yes. Alarm sound? Yes. Anything else? No.

If Playful

I think it is cute, and I have often done it to the girlfriends in my past.
I think a little tickle now and again is good for the soul.
It's playful and none of my girlfriends were mad at me for doing it.

Totally agree with you. I have done it to all of my girlfriends in the past and now my wife. Only one girl I was with it pissed her off because she hated having her feet tickled because they were extremly sensitive. I remember teasing her that I was going to tickle her feet she was running around like crazy to avoid it when I tried to hold her legs down she was flopping around like a fish, the only time I could get her was when she was sleeping or if I was sitting on her legs. All in all it is fun. Does anyone recall it being done to them?

I don't like having anyone touch me when I'm sleeping. You want to wake me up, it's easy...just stand at the door, call my name. If you tickle me, I might inadvertently kick you...hard.

The Missus told me, early on, that if I tickled her in her sleep, she would get really, really fucking pissed off. I told her she didn't have to worry...I understood.

Some people think it's funny...but you never know when someone's gonna freak out.

I love being woken up like that. Nothing like waking up to the sound of your own screaming!

(of course, I fall asleep to the sounds of my own screams too)

Quite often I would awaken my late wife with, what some would consider, a caressing tickle with my fingers and sometimes my tongue. It tickled just enough to elicit a giggle and maybe a few toe curls.

She adored the attention I paid to her feet and understood my love of them.

some people need to calm down

geez, it's only a little tickle, get over yourselves!
i wake my wife up with a foot tickle every morning. it starts her day off with a laugh and a smile. she likes it, and it is a turn on for me too.

When I was a kid, the old Blondie comic strip featured that scenario one day. Blondie tried everything to awaken Dagwood (who was always late for work). Nothing succeeded. Then: I'll try tickling his feet. She stroked her finger along his soles, he laughed like mad . . . but slept through the whole thing.

The closing frame: Now he's not only sleeping, but he's happy about it! Things like this really nurtured my tickling fetish.

Well, good for you and your wife! There still are some people who don't like to be woken up with tickling, and that should be respected!

your wishes honored yes..

.. but violence in your initial post to this thread is not something i can not respect.

if you were my spouse and didn't like to be tickled awake, then as your loving husband i would comply with that wish. that really isn't the issue between us.

Violence? I was referring to an incident when my father woke my mother up by tickling her feet. She absolutely hates being tickled, and she kicked right away and happened to kick him in the face, breaking his nose. What is so bad about that?

Needless to say it taught him a lesson.

Consideration is key.

What might seem like a small tickle to you might be a big tickle to someone else.

For me, small tickles are tremendous to my whole body, because I have a sensory processing disorder. I'm hypersensitive to touch. I always have been. I probably always will be. So just because your wife enjoys it, doesn't mean that other people - such as myself - will even be able to! If someone freaks out because they are being tickled into waking up, that's their business! If you don't like it, then you shouldn't tickle them.

What you should respect is the fact that some people cannot stand to be tickled awake. As much as I love tickling, I hate it when it's used on me when I'm sleeping. My nerves are even more so raw then than they are when I'm awake. Again, with my sensory issues, my love for tickling can very easily turn into a HATE for tickling, if it's used on me in the wrong way. It's not my fault that I have an ASD, but it is someone's fault if they use that aspect against me, out of spite.

There's no "getting over" oneself because of this. Everyone's different. If you cannot respect that, then leave those different people alone, instead of rubbing their dislikes in their face.

I rarely do this to my wife. She's fine with tickling occasionally, but not much of a morning person! LOL!

I love to be awakened that way...if its done lightly.

Recently we spent some time with my wife's family and early one morning I had the opportunity to do so to one of my wife's relatives. I always wondered if she was ticklish..she has such a great laugh and personality...and this particular morning she was sleeping on the couch with one bare foot exposed. I slid a finger up one sole and said "gooooddd mooorrnnning" as she smiled and pulled her leg back under the covers! LOL!

Depends who...and when...if it was someone I was in a relationship with, when I have to wake up anyway, then I think it's quite sexy. I'm a big fan of being gently tickled on my back until I wake up...very gently...

Under other circumstances, I'm not fond. Sleep is precious to me, and I'd feel unpleasantly vulnerable if someone who I wasn't intimate with tickled me while I was sleeping.

My wife gets the “tickle, tickle” treatment almost every morning, but only after being massaged, kissed, and cajoled into getting up. She knows its coming and always complains in childlike protest, but after twenty-five years it’s still a highlight of my day.

my wife and i do that to each other fairly often...its happened quite a bit through out my lifetime..pretty cool stuff

It happened once recently when I was nearly asleep on the couch. Hubby just lightly brushed his fingers over my socked feet and I nearly jumped off the couch. Needless to say the nap was over!

I used to do that all the time with my ex-wife, matter of fact, it was the only way she would wake up...anything else she was non-repsonsive

I'm kind of a weird case. My feet are usually pretty ticklish when awake. When asleep, you could go to town on them (that's an open invitation) and I wouldn't move an inch. Of course, I would probably sleep through Armageddon so that's no big surprise.
