I doubt he'd win even if it was true. But, it'd be fun (on a certain level) while it lasted. lol IF it's a valid thing, it will be interesting to see how things progress. There are claims on both sides. As you say, time will tell. We haven't heard anything from Chris himself. Soooooo..........

I saw a report about this on this past weekends news. They caught up with him and asked him directly. While ammused, he said it's a hoax and that he has no intention of running. Shame!

I have heard about Chris Walken as a person and an actor since I was 7 years old, due to my father's being Mike Cimino's business manager when I was younger. As most know, Walken appeared in the Deer Hunter and Heaven's Gate.
My parents had the opportunity to meet him on several occasions through Mr Cimino, and they said Walken is a really good guy. He seems to have extreme social conscience, and doesnt like what's going on in this country with either Bush or the Dems. If Chris ran, and I really thought he stood a chance at winning, I would vote for him over either Hilary, the likely 2008 Democrat front runner, or Mccain. Unfortunately, even if Chris did run, it is likely he would do so as an independent, and not gather enough votes other than to maybe take votes away from Hilary or Mccain. Let's remember that while Chris has no political experience, the guy makes sense, and we had another two term president who was an actor who many liked, Ronald Reagan.
I like Chris. He makes good sense from what I've read of his political views. Someone like him may be just what we need, to get rid of the old boring politics as usual. Ray, if you support Chris, this may be the first time since the P and R was created that I agree with you on a candidate, although this technically isnt the P and R. Unfortunately, it may be a hoax, and even if he does run, he wont be able to gather enough support to make a true run at the Dem or Rep candidates.

Dont get me wrong, I like Walken a lot....but I would NEVER vote for a hollywood actor for any public office...they live in their own little realm out there and are caught up in a world of make believe....

Robin Williams..... come on guys..... Christopher was voted most likely to be an alien by Maxim magazine..... I suggest Travis Bickle, and if he doesn't accept, try Bruce Dern. at least these two are somewhere in the same league.
