Watching clips on your TV

Does anyone watch their clips from Clips4Sale on their television? For example, is there a user friendly software to put clips on a DVD that is watchable on your TV?

Also, I'm shopping for a new TV, and some advertise inputs such as a USB drive input, or one that permits you to use a memory stick for your photographs for your TV. I haven't thought of a good way to ask the salesman whether this would allow me to play clips that I save on a USB drive on the TV. If I could, that would be the easiest solution.

I'd appreciate any thoughts. I imagine I'm not the first person that thinks that watching clips on a bigger screen would be better!
