say you are watching your feet (or any other ticklish spot) being tickled. Does that make it more ticklish, or less? What say you?

Not watching adds an element of unpredictability that makes my sense more heightened. So I think watching the whole time might make me less ticklish.
 
I prefer being blindfolded. Makes me more ticklish. So no, watching does not make me more ticklish. But I close my eyes when I laugh pretty soon anyways, so I am not really able to watch. 🙂
 
Watching makes it tickle less because I can see where her fingers (or the implement) is going next.

While I agree with the others above, seeing where the fingers are going allows my body to be more prepared so it is less ticklish. I usually prefer not to watch. To be blindfolded, or if not, I will usually close my eyes and escape into the sensations.

However, I have found that if I do watch, I get more turned on and I also tend to giggle a lot. Possibly more than if I can't see. (Giggle, not full laughter and chuckles like what happens when the tickling suddenly comes and surprises me) Its those anticipation giggles that I get. I know you are going to get my feet. I know any moment I will feel you. I know what that ticklish sensation will feel like. So the giggles start to come well before I am touched. I giggle and I try to already wiggle away or twist free.

Watching the ler's face as they begin tickling is interesting.
 
Usually if someone is trying to tickle me and I watch them do it there is less of the suprise element. I think the suprise does make it more unexpected which can lead to someone being more ticklish, but I think if you see where someone is going to try to tickle you is more of sense of trying to cover up or escape the tickling which can make it worse if you can't get away.

It is anyway possible to keep eyes open while being tickled? In any case i can't keep them open, so i cannot watch, what makes me more sensible for the act of tickling, that's my expirience!
 
Watching vs. not watching

This is a great thread! Okay, I have had 'lers make me watch while they wiggle their tickling fingers ever closer to my ticklish spots and when they finally touch me (Spotmanc), I melt, close my eyes, and throw my head back and LMAO. Then, I've had 'lers make me look them in the eye while they tickled me (QB Weaver and Lee Allure specifically) and as soon as they touched me, I threw my head back and LMAO. Then, I have been tickled while some horrible torturer (MKeemer) held up his iPod with a video of me being tickled and made me watch it, and I threw my head back and LMAO. Watching is a tool that the best 'lers use extremely effectively.
 
Interesting thread. I have watched before but no I really am too busy laughing/squirming and trying to get away .

I definitely agree with RavenMoon here. In fact I think I honestly prefer to see what's happening to me. It honestly seems to make it tickle more to me. Probably because yes I do become more turned on by watching what's happening, and being turned on makes me even more ticklish.

Being blindfolded is still fun and all and it's cool to not know where it's gonna happen. But I still think I generally prefer to see what's happening. 😉

Sound like I'm almost the only person who does as well LOL

As a lee, being my feet my most (and maybe only) horribly ticklish spot, I consider that the anticipation of the tickling adds greatly to the torment. Watching the ladies wiggling their fingers and even telling me what will come makes me feel more helpless (of course I need to be properly restrained). However, sometimes, when I am lying on my stomach, my wife would tickle my feet and its pretty hard to resist when I cannot see where she will attack.

As a ler, wiggling my hands inches away from my girl armpits or knees is fantastic...she strarts begging...but there will be no escape...

In my experience, if the person doesn't know where they are about to be tickled, they are going to laugh a bit harder. Especially if you catch em by surprise.

An experiment for you:

Experiment 1) Hold down (or tie down if they are stronger) your gf/bf/wife/husband/whatever. Let them see it coming a mile away. Slowly lower your hand to their stomach and tickle. First through the shirt. Then life it and tickle under it. Next, do the same thing but at the very last second go for the armpit (or inside the thigh or some other ticklish spot). Then, lay across their chest (best you can while still restraining em if necessary) blocking their view. Pull back their shirt... then tickle their hip bone. Which of the 3 reactions gives the biggest laugh? Usually the inability to know where it will be -> followed by the misdirection tickle (go for the tummy, get the armpit) -> followed by the direct skin tickle -> followed by through the shirt.
 
Actually, I think if I was to watch a guy tickle me, and the way he tickles, it would make me a tad more ticklish, if I really set my mind into it.

Basically, the ideas in my head of how he tickles, where he tickles ( pokes, squeezes, whatever), and how much is DOES tickle, really gets to me, mentally. Therefore, enters my brain, travels through my body, and creates a huge connection with the tickling already going on.

So yes, makes me more ticklish. 🙂
 
I can't remember if I looked while I was being Ler'd or not... I don't think I was, mostly because I DON'T want to see it happening 😛. Most the time my eyes roll into the back of my head, I think. Next time I get ler'd I'll have to try and think about this hahaha.
 
I watch if it's a spot that turns me on a lot...like nipples or penis. Otherwise, I don't.
