Ways to get more ticklish?

So, fairly straight forward here, but recently the ladyfriend has been much more into really wanting to tickle me good, not just as a foreplay or short side thing, but really tying me up for a tickle session or two (not that I'm complaining or anything).

However, day to day how ticklish I feel can vary a lot and some days it's just something that makes me twitch a bit or fidget around instead of really feeling ticklish. I know there are some good mental strategies to enhance ticklishness, focusing on the feeling itself, starting yourself laughing, blindfolds/bondage, teasing, etc. What I'm more looking for is any way to genuinely increase skin sensitivity.

I've checked out exfoliating and such, but is there anything else I can do in my day to day routine to keep or make my skin more sensitive and ticklish? Any particular soaps/body washes/body lotions etc? Even diet tricks or tips, just anything that can help me heighten sensitivity. Thanks guys!

From personal experiences, for the feet at least, the lotion + thick socks + shoes + walking around for a while combination can garner some fast results, and super softened feet should theoretically heighten ticklishness very noticably. I hear that shea butter in particular works really well for that, so maybe try looking into getting some.

Fairly sure that "healthiness" in general will help with ticklishness, as well - stronger, more receptive nerves and all of that, plus a good set of lungs and that physical awareness of your body when you are healthy should help as well!

In relation to that, giving your body a good, thorough massage can help; that works with my fiance, at least. The rubbing helps relax the muscles, and produces some heat that helps sensitize the skin. A massage in the form of aftercare can really help after your session, as well - and since your ladyfriend will go through all that effort to tickle the living daylights out of you, you had better offer her a good massage of her own, as a thank-you! 😛

Best of luck! And let us know how it all goes! 🙂

You have done well so far by mentioning that psychological aspects also plays some role regarding sensitivity.
As for physical, I think I could only think about one thing: the diet.
In Asia, it is well known that there are foods or ingredients that more or less, able to increase sensitivity. So, maybe you could try that.

I find the opposite to Dalek's massage trick to be true-if I'm touched too much/roughly, I lose sensitivity. When that happens, Senshi uses feathers and lighter touches and I soon get sensitivity back--I'd suggest trying feathers, makeup brushes, or other tools ^_^

Try gel socks - they will soften your feet while you sleep. Also, anything with a slight menthol or peppermint to it will make your skin temporarily more "alert" and therefore sensitive as well.

Another thing that shocked me by how much more (permanently) ticklish it has made me is getting my underarm hair permanently removed. It takes 6 appointments , but after each one. (A month apart ) the level if ticklish was seems to quadruple!😱 it has been quite the unexpected side effect!

increasing ticklishness

i got a freind in america whos always chatting and telling me how she would tickle me and if im open to trying new things i replied yes and shes sed she wants to put me in nylons and use a hair dryer to warm my feet up to make me more ticklish lol

jus curious if any1 has done this or had it done to them before 🙂

Nope, but I could certainly see how warmed up nylons would keep the feet warm longer...I personally find that when my body is either a little colder or warmer than the norm, sensitivity increases!:blush

Here's one that always works for me, although I doubt it'll help you as you want a general increase in ticklishness. Anyway, occasionally when we're playing, Karen will tell me to hold still and not move a muscle. And I don't mean just keeping your arms up, I mean don't even twitch. Then she tickles me veeerrrrry lightly. Not slowly, I mean it's relatively fast, it's just very light - no digging. Anyway, not being allowed to move a muscle makes this feel extremely intense to me, and drives me half insane.

It does take a bit of skill on the 'ler's part, though, as they have to tickle enough to keep it intense, but not so much that your instincts take over and you thrash away. Keeping the need to move just barely below your threshold is an art form, but it's fiendishly effective in my case.

Not a solution for general ticklishness, but a good experiment to try nonetheless. 🙂 Perhaps add an extra incentive not to move, such as an embarrassing forfeit, to increase your brain's threshold for keeping still.
