Hi to all the tickly people here!! I don't often write on the forum, but feel like dropping a personal request for feedback from the fellow-forumers and ticklephiles assorted...
A close friend of mine got married to an Ecuadorian girl three years ago, back in Italy. (I am an Italian dinosaur, but living in the Netherlands!) I was his best-man... Or, shall we say, best-dinosaur? So, in spite of my sporty propensities for practical, casual clothing I obviously had to comply to the rules, swallow the whole bullfrog and dress up a bit like Admiral Nelson on a parade. Well, not quite like that, but to me it felt that way! Not used...

Coming September they'll get re-married again in Ecuador, for all of her family and friends to be at the ceremony. The place is going to be beachy and sunny and seasideish, and probably also hot, they tell me... I am going to be the intercontinental best-man again, so... Question!!
Considering the practicalities of hot climate and maybe outdoorsy place for wedding and all, like close to the beach and such... Would I be decent and sensible if I wore my typical black T-shirt and hiking pants, maybe with a shirt on just to look slightly more formal and attired? Or shall I chew on the bullfrog and carry a suit along and go Nelson overseas as well.....?? :wow: I want to maintain my own style (if we shall call it like that, but it's really no style at all!!) but actually I think I would prefer the bride not to feel like I am neglecting the occasion on her own territory.

What would you all think?? Yes, I know you're thinking of tickling the beejums out of your partners right now and cuddle all night, but I mean, what would you do in my place about the wedding?!?
Cheers and more to everybody who bothers to enlighten shy dinosaur me!!

P.S. ....suddenly wondering if a wedding can be a tickly occasion!! :happyfloa

This is really something that's the decision of the bride and groom. But, considering the climate and location, you might suggest to them that they do a light cottony selection fo clothes...slacks or bermuda shorts with a loose weave cotton or gauze shirt for the guys and a summery gauze cloth dress for the bride and her court. Depending on her family background, you may have some insistance on a more formal attire, though. If that's the case, you could always bring something to change into once the ceremony & pics are out of the way. Good luck and have fun!

Ann took the words out of my mouth. You want to be comfy but not so informal looking that you stand out. It is a wedding after all, although for a renewal ceremony, I think things tend to me more relaxed. Light cotton and/or a breezy gauze sounds perfect! Have fun!

I would tend to agree with Ann, but to be on the safe side why don't you just call up and ask about the dress code? Can't lose there!
