It is really stunning to me that we are into week #15 of the NFL season. It goes by really fast. It seems only a couple weeks ago we started this. To recap a little bit though, Sadira is in first place in overall percentage at a .553 pace. Natural and Tickle Fiend05 are in second and third respectively. The most wins belong to Natural who has 105 wins with myself ( 100 ) and Tickle Fiend05 ( 97 ) have the second and third most games guessed right. The standings are fairly close. Nobody has runaway and hide so anyone can still win. With all that, we do have a Thursday Night game and a Saturday Night game. Hopefully we will get both of those games to play out well so we will be entertained. Here are the games and the spreads for the week.

Jacksonville -3 1/2 @ Tennessee - lets see if this team has gotten over "playing down" to their opposition - oh and I think Stroud and Henderson might have something to say about Young deciding to run up the middle.

St Louis +1 1/2 @ Oakland - No Moss or Porter - EXCELLENT news at least people who want to play get a chance; look for Johnnie Morant to break out - you heard it here first.

Miami +1 @ Buffalo - everything is telling me go 'Fins here but McGahee is playing fine and they are a way different team in the backfield.

Pittsburgh +2 1/2 @ Carolina - Panthers again are the pussy cats of the NFL, I really thought they were Superbowl material.

Cincinnati +3 1/2 @ Indianapolis - a shoot out is going to happen; I like the 3 1/2 points and I think the Bengals have a slightly better defense.

Okay here are my picks for week#15 in the league where they play...for pay!!!

Thursday, December 14th,2006

San Francisco +10 @ Seattle---On November 19th, SanFrancisco upset the Seahawks 20-14. Now you favor Seattle by 10??? Not me!!! I will take the points and San Francisco. The Seahawks are missing 2 wideouts. This game will come down to Gore versus Alexander in the running game. Though I expect Seattle will clinch the division, they will not win this game by more than 10.

Saturday, December 16th,2006

Dallas -3 1/2 @ Atlanta---Dallas is playing their last road game before they get to the playoffs. Dallas got humiliated at home last week as the Saints came marching in 42-17. We found out last week that Tony Romo is human and that is can make mistakes. Also let it be known that the Saints drew up a blueprint on how to stop Romo. Don't think that will stay a secret for long. And now with T.O.'s ESPN interview ready to be played on Sunday Night you have to wonder how many teammate got thrown under the moving bus. This is a game Atlanta needs to win. Though I hate picking Atlanta because they NEVER win for me, I will go with Atlanta in this game and take the points.

Sunday, December 17th,2006

New York Jets +3 1/2 @ Minnesota--- Minnesota has won 2 games in their last 7. Not the mark of a team that is ready to make a playoff run. The Jets are 4-2 on the road this season as they seem to play well away from the Meadowlands including winning their last 2 games on the road. Look for the Jets to beat the Vikings and end the Vikings playoff hopes.

Cleveland +11 1/2 @ Baltimore---All signs point to the Browns having a VERY long afternoon in Baltimore. Baltimore is 5-1 at home. Baltimore is looking to clinch the division and looking at the potential of a first round bye in the playoffs. Cleveland is 2-4 on the road and 0-5 in the division. In a season that was suppose to feature the Browns improving has seen the Browns falter and making it a forgettable season in Cleveland. Baltimore to wrap up this division in a romp.

Houston +11 1/2 @ New England--- Lets see, 9 of New England's 13 games have been decided by 10 points or less. Houston has had 7 of their 13 games decided by 10 points or less including 6 of their 7 games decided by 10 points or less. New England will win this game by not by more than 10 points. I am taking Houston and the points. A side note here is if New England wins and the Jets lose their game in Minnesota the Patriots clinch the AFC East Division.

Miami +1 @ Buffalo---Buffalo is calling for possible showers and high of 49 degrees with the wind out of the west at 10 to 15 MPH. Not a bad day for Buffalo in December. But it is not Miami weather. Buffalo coming off a big win against the Jets last week will try to pull up to the .500 mark as will the Dolphins. A coin toss game and the team that wins the coin toss will probably win the game. Going with Buffalo and giving up the point.

Pittsburgh +2 1/2 @ Carolina--- Pittsburgh is 1-5 on the road. But they have their late season surge going on. Carolina has firgured out that they really don't have a good back-up for Delhomme. If Chris Weinke starts again, I see the Steelers winning their 2nd game on the road and getting back to 7-7 on the season.

Washington +10 @ New Orleans--- New Orleans looks to capture the division this week and work on getting a bye for the first round of the playoffs. A win for New Orleans will wrap up the division since they hold the tie-breaker head to head over Atlanta. For Washington, a disappointing season that will be over in three weeks. Taking the Saints and giving up the points.

Jacksonville -3 1/2 @ Tennessee---I haapen to like Tennessee in this game. Tennessee is flying high right now. They have won four straight and 6 of 8. If there is a team out there that I would be afraid of if you are trying to solidify a playoff birth it would be Tennessee. Now these two teams met back on November 5th and Jacksonville destroyed Tennessee 37-7 in Jacksonville. This is definately a different team now. I am looking for the Totans to get their 7th win. Look for the upset here. Taking the points and the team from good ol' Rocky Top.

Tampa Bay +13 @ Chicago--- This point spread is way too much. Is it possible that Chicago will crush them??? Yep!!! Is it likely??? I certainly hope not. In games that Chicago has been double digit favors and I have picked them, I am 0-3. So I will not pick Chicago this time.

Detroit +5 @ Green Bay--- The Lions are 2-11 and going nowhere fast. Green Bay is 1-5 at home. Their last two home games the Packers have been outscored 73-10. They have been shutout twice this season at home. I look for Detroit to get on the right side of the tracks in this battle of the have nots.

Denver -3 @ Arizona--- This is a game of interest to those who still believe that Denver has a shot at the playoffs and those who believe that Dennis Green will get fired. Denver will not win this game as they have lost 4 straight and going nowhere fast. Arizona is trying to save Dennis Green's job as they have won 3 of their last 4 games and could have been four out of four had they been able to pull out the win Minnesota that they lost 31-26. This game is about who is showing heart and who is not. I am taking the team that has shown that they have heart over the last 4 weeks and I am avioding the team that has shown none over that same stretch. I am really surprised that anyone would favor Denver on the road with a rookie QB playing in just his third game. I will go with Matt Leinart ( another rookie ) who has played VERY well over a prolong period of time. Taking the points and the Cardinals.

St Louis +1 1/2 @ Oakland--- Five of Oakland's last six games were against teams that are all with winning records. Oakland has played very well at home despite the 2-4 record. The Rams coming off of losing 2 straight at home are on the road in Oakland. I do not like the Rams chances here. I am taking the Raiders and giving up the points.

Philadelphia +6 @ New York Giants--- All signs say that the Giants are going to win this game. And they might. But I think this is a closer game than anyone is willing to give Philadelphia credit for. Both teams are going to be fighting tooth and nail for a playoff spot. And who knows they might both be going to the playoffs. And forgive me Dallas fans for saying this but you are no lock for the playoffs. The Eagles have the first tie-breaker on you ( and that is head to head) and the second tie-breaker on you and that is a better divisional record and the third tie-breaker on you and that is better conference record. So you will lose to Philadelphia in a tiebreaking scenario. The Giants have a better divisional record that you. So if this is a three way tie and you lose to Atlanta on Saturday, get comfortable with your team and watch the playoffs from your favorite couch. I will take the Eagles and the points because this will be a field goal game.

Kansas City +8 @ San Diego---San Diego has weapons. Lots of weapons. Kansas City has some weapons but not to the caliber of the Chargers. I like the Chiefs and Herm Edwards and will hope that somehow Herm will win this game, but I don't see it. I will give a BIG edge to the Chargers and give up those points.

Monday, December 18th,2006

Cincinnati +3 1/2 @ Indianapolis---The Colts are struggling. There is no denying that. But I really believe that they will snap out of it in this game. This game could be an up and down field and lots of scoring. This could be a fun game to watch if you like lots of scoring. I will go with the Colts and give up the points.

And I finally finish the picks for week#15 in the NFL!!! Good Luck and have a great weekend everyone!!!

Okay... got my toes crossed for this week... gonna make it hard to walk, but hey... anything for the cause.
Maybe I need to sacrifice a chicken to the football gods... thought I heard a rooster the other day... think the neighbors would miss one of their flock?
