Well, good! It's SUPPOSED to be unbearable!

I'm just wondering if anyone here feels this way about tickling the soles of the feet. Say, you have someone all restrained, prepared to relentlessly tickle those extremely ticklish soles for a long time.

Now, say, the ticklee complains: "You don't understand! I absoluely can't stand being tickled on the soles of my feet. It's so unbearable."

Would you respond with saying this: "Well, good! It's SUPPOSED to be unbearable! That's WHY I'm going to have much fun tickling them! It wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun to tickle them if you COULD stand it!"

What are your thought?

No, it isn't 'supposed to be' unbearable unless that's what they like. There's this little thing called 'mutual enjoyment.' Some people enjoy being tickled to, or beyond, their limits. Some people don't enjoy being tickled at all, and then there's the full spectrum in between the two extremes. You need to respect your partner's preferences.

Of course, in a teasing sense, with someone who actually wants to be tickled and is being playfully nervous... sure. Responding with something that absolutely drips -Evil- is a lot of fun. But if they're expecting upper-body tickling, and they honestly don't like being tickled on their feet, you need to respect their limits (hence the definition of 'limits').

You hit the nail right on the head man...nice post.

Az is usually the voice of reason, so heed his words and heed them well, for he is right. To me, tickling someone in a way that's truly unbearable for them when they truly don't want you to is no different than rape in that sense. That's right I said it!

sometimes people wanna be really evil in this thing, but really evil is only fun if it's fun on both ends.

otherwise tickling can be just as much torture as the rack for real and there would be no difference. remember, tickling torture is supposed to be a torture between friends and loved ones, not really supposed to be suffering.

Well said, Az! Good to have another "voice of reason", so to speak, on the boards. It's nice to have company. :wavingguy

Excellent post, Azrael...I couldn't have said it better. I also agree with what Excess said.

Sorry I'm not offering anything else constructive 😛

Editing to say that I would never take advantage when someone tells me that some body part is 'unbearable'. Maybe I'm just too nice, LOL...but if they start freaking and tell me they either hate that part being tickled or it's just horribly unbearable, I wouldn't even go there. If someone told me they didn't want me tickling a certain spot, I would outright ask them if they were just playing/enticing me or actually MEANING it. I'd go find a different spot, hehe.

Yes I would respond that way. I like tickle torture so it is best if it is just that, torture. :evilha:

Depends on how they mean it. There's good unbearable and bad unbearable. For the former my favorite response is "That's OK. You don't have to stand it."
