Assuming the wasps were in there to build a nest, a can of Raid (or similar) would have solved the problem more cheaply (overall) (I mean, where do you buy smoke bombs, and how much do they cost?). The man got stung anyway.
 
He saved the garage (from wasps) by destroying it. Reminiscent of Vietnam.
