Even before the evacuation of New Orleans, we knew there was going to be trouble, so, as soon as Katrina hit the gulf, Paige and I loaded up the SUV, and got the Hell outta there! Paige has friends in El Paso, who said they'd put us up as long as nessasary, which now looks like it's gonna be a while. Yes, we have homeowners insurance, but I shudder to think about what the water did to our house. Paige keeps crying, and I try to comfort her, but end up crying, too. So, say a prayer for us. Just wanted to let you know we're ok.

I am very glad to hear that you and Paige got out of the path of the hurricane in time, Tiffany.
Don't mourn any lost property, or worry about the insurance claims now. Just be glad that you both are OK.

Thank you for giving us that update Tiffany that you and Paige are doing well and safe and you two have your lives ahead of you and it may be painful to try to rebuild what lives you had before Katrina,you can rest assured that all your friends here on TMF will be here for you to lend a comforting hug when you need one,an ear to just listen to what you have to say and true friends stick together through good times and in bad times..Be strong,and be thankful for all that you do have..

I think we should raise a TMF collection to help Tiff and Paige relocate and replace. I'm sure many of us are giving to the Red Cross and such, but we're all a community here, right?

I'm glad you're ok Tiff~we always forget that things can be replaced~you two got out with your lives (and did it early, smart move) and hopefully with any pets you have, and that's the most important thing. This too shall pass one day, hang in there and let us know how we can help.

Glad to hear that you two are okay and have a place to stay. Joby is still in the effected region, able to go home some when not helping others. We still haven't heard from He-Man. Are there others in the area that folks know of?

Let's just hope that Rita stays south. Not that I wish anything bad on Mexico. But, our gulf coast couldn't handle another hit right now.
