Were you ever sincerely (all jokes set aside) terrified of being tickled before developing an enjoyment to it?

Theories on fetishes vary. However, some argue that it is a state of mind, while others claim for it to be exposure (typically in high doses). I believe that my love for tickling stemmed from a very high and consistent dose of it growing up, as family and family friends alike dealt out a large load of the sort to me growing up. When the teens hit, it then seemed to really contract my mind's incessant thoughts.
