What (alcoholic) drinks do you like?

I love sweet drinks. I don't like drinks where you have to mask the taste, I like drinks where you savor the taste.

Bingo. Can't stand beer, but I have one once a year to remind me that I don't like it.

I don't drink much, but when I do, I'm all about the Bailey's Irish Cream. Irish Coffee's great (nothing like mixing your stimulants and depressants!)!

SoCo and Coke was also good the one time I tried it.

Fond of rum to a degree, and I'm also partial to schnapps, butterscotch being at the top of my list. It's one form of alcohol I always keep stocked here.

Try http://www.webtender.com/ to learn more about drinks. It's a pretty good resource.

I hate beer. Not a fan of wine or champagne, either. And I don't like anything hard (whiskey, scotch, tequila, etc). In short, I don't have much of a taste for alcohol....lol

When I DO drink, I tend to stick to mixed drinks where you can't even taste the alcohol in them: Amaretto Sours, Midori Sours, and White Russians being my favorites....

Though I do like one hefty slamming drink. It's called a lunchbox and it's a tumbler or mug filled half way with beer, then filled to the top with orange juice. Then right before you chug it, you drop a shot glass of amaretto into the middle of it and slam it all down. I hate beer, I hate orange juice, and you'd think combined they would be atrocious....but it's actually delicious! I can down a dozen of them in a single night out!

Another question, something of a hijacking of my own thread.

Does alcohol give you nightmares? The reason I ask: Last week, I slept well in terms of falling asleep quickly and staying asleep well. But I had nightmares almost every night, and they were miserable. Also last week, I drank more than normal. I am suspicious that those two are connected. The most I got was 4 in an evening: 2 glasses of wine with my dinner, a shot of brandy mixed with iced tea as I relaxed in the evening, and carolan's mixed with butterscotch schnapps and milk as I unwound and got ready for bed.
(4 drinks was the maximum, but I generally had at least 1 drink of something every day).

Could this cause my sleep to be plagued by nightmares? Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm doing an experiment. Cold turkey for a few days, not a drop of alcohol. If the nightmares stop, then I'll work back in the drinking as a treat, but with a cap of 2 instead of 4. If htey don't stop, hell--the drinking was unrelated.

Incidentally, I learned a lot from reading your ideas. Many experiments to try in the future. Provided, of course, that the drinking isn't hauntng my dreams.

I don;t drink very much nowadays but after a hard days work when I need to unwind,I have a glass of "barefoot Chardonnay " attached below or when in the mood for a Beer,I have the " SkinnyDip beer" also attached or a Fat Tire Amber Ale
