I see the news, and it brings tears into my eyes.

There are people who have lost everything, not only material items, but loved ones also.

This is on our TV sets 24/7.

I have made online donations... What have you done to help the victims?

I feel some how that if I can grasp that we're all doing what we can to help rebuild after this event, it will make it all easier to accept and get on with.

I just know that I hate to see people suffer in that way.

The only only suffering I LOVE to see is in tickle of course!

The suffering is truly heartbreaking.

It was once said:

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"

I think the reverse should apply in this situation. The treasury should front almost the entire bill for rebuilding New Orleans. It is ridiculous, to me, that ordinary Americans are expected to donate money, when this could easily be afforded by the government. After all, do you not all pay taxes and did the people affected by Katrina not pay taxes?

But yes. People should donate money too because they want to.

Although I think your offerings are probably just swelling the coffers of the Red Cross.

The people making the biggest impact, again in my opinion, are the wonderful people inviting those affected into their homes, or the schools inviting children into their classrooms so as not to further disrupt their education, or the wonderful volunteers from all walks of life.

I just don't think money should be the issue here.

Well said, and I agree with all you've said.

But the reality of the situation is that the government would appear to giving the war effort in Iraq financial priority.

Seems kind of strange that money would be invested so heavily into killing people under the guise of trying to do good when there are many needing an equal if not greater amount of help in the homeland. 🙁

I'd also like to urge people to be careful. People are sometimes too willing to act like the good samaritan and should be aware that some people are trying to take money off people under the pretence that it will help Katrina survivors. If you want to give money, give money to the Red Cross or some other organisation you know is absolutley reputable. If you've never heard of the group that wants your money, don't donate.

Hey macker. Are you the guy behind the South east asia clip store? I've seen that site several times and strongly considered buying from there. It looks very good.

Thats good advise Newcastle. I just wish people would do more. I find it hard to believe that this disaster is being dealt with in the way that it is by the most powerful nation on earth.

Oh, and yes... I do have my hands in the clip store. I will say, its not soft soft nancy style tickling though, it is best described as extreme. As we don't stop until they cannot take anymore. I'd be interested in your feedback should you try one of them. You can either mail me or my partner, connie. And we will get back to you as soon as we can. 🙂

I will certainly give feedback. I only buy videos that I can download and I use clips4sale almost exclusively these days. Once I've found a good clip store I stay with that store and buy from them regularly. I'm sure that i'll get something from you in the next couple of days and let you know what I think. But the pictures look very impressive, and the only reason i've resisted buying is that so many new clip stores offer variable (varying between bad and worse) quality clips. Yours looks different though. But i'll let you know.

Thanks Newcastle.

I take pride in the content we make, and we're trying to do our thing and do it well.

Of course, all the tickle sessions we do vary, each are good in their own way. But due to personal preferences on what each of us like, we rate some higher than others.

There is one clip in particular that I think you should try as a test. If you don't like it or are at all unhappy with it, please let me know and I will give you your money back, or replace the clip.

The title of the clip is: "Brief highlights of my tickling debut!" and can be found of page 2 of the store.

I was actually going to call abot supporting someone in my house. I have a three bedroom house and I am it in living in it, I have few extra beds to let a few people stay here. I have two bedrooms that I am not using, and if push came to shove, I'd have three b/c I can sleep on the couch. But my problem is that there isn't a background check make sure these people aren't criminals that you take in. It sounds bad, but if I am going to let people live in my house for any length of time, then I want to know what kind of people they are. Does anyone think that I am wrong?

You're very sensible. But I think there are certain ways of finding out if a person is suitable. We all know which people are safe to take in. Unfortunately it would be a well-educated, well-off family that in no way should have a propensity towards criminality (certainly not towards the man who is housing their children)

Wow, very insightful and a excellent offer to help! 🙂

You are 110% right about your concern of a background check on those you would be inviting into your home and I wouldn't mind betting that there are others who feel the same way, and thus decide that its not worth the risk 🙁

Not that i would blame those people for making that decision, there are also some bad people in this world which we need to be careful of.

My mom and I have both sent seperate donations to the Red Cross. We are not rich, but felt we wanted to help in our small way. My aunt lived in lower Manhattan, and was forced from her home after 9-11, eventually having to re locate to another part of NYC due to the debris and air quality near her former home. The Red Cross was extremely helpful to her during her time of need after 9-11, providing money for relocation, and such. She was forced to come to our house for a week after the disaster. Being the relative of a refugee of a disaster, and having social consciences as my mom and I do, there is not any way I could have witnessed such a disaster like the one that happened with Katrina, and not helped. In addition, our temple is also collecting donations for Katrina victims currently, and through the high holy days. We plan to contribute to that fund as well. I have read and heard on TV that money is supposedly the best way to aid the victims of Katrina, so that the funds can be used to buy supplies where it is needed most.
So, that is our contribution. I have heard that much money has been raised to help the victims, but far more is needed. If everyone could give even 5 or 10 dollars to charities such as the Red Cross, it would go a long way toward aiding the stricken victims of Katrina.

It just saddens me that I have to make that decision. I mean I have a huge house. I have 3 bed rooms, 2 full baths, a basement, and plenty of space. My parents are the same way, they have at least one -two rooms that they could room someone, but we don't have a way to know who is "coming to dinner." What really bothers me is that it isn't because I am white and most of the people are african american, it is that there was such looting and people shooting at each other in those days that I don't know who I can trust. It is really saddening to me.

I've just been thinking, and perhaps there is something we can do in this thread that I've just started.

We'll have to wait and see what the feedback is.
