What are your favourite computer/video games?

To the person who asked me about my avatar: I typed in chrono trigger avatars and got a bunch of random sites. Thats frog or Sir glenn form the snes rpg chrono trigger.

I was the one who asked ^^

I see your signature is also of Sir Glenn? The tiny size and the animation of your avatar makes him look so cute.

Argonians are good too! Did any of you see the video of the speedy game completion? 14 minutes with a khajit...

Wow....14 minutes!? I would so love to see how that is done! Believe it or not, I've only just finished Dagoth Ur yesterday night! Avoiding him using hoptoad while trying to get to the heart sure gave me an adrenaline rush!

That's some speedy reply...I edited my post and you're done replying to the old post.

With enough potions, you can do and get through just about anything

As I recall, it required a high alchemy and acrobatics skill. he basically sat there for 8 minutes taking potions till he was around 10000 intelligence, and then just ran and killed Dagoth Ur .

Hmmm...how does a high intelligence kill Dagoth Ur fast? Aren't the Blunt Weapon (Sunder) /Short Blade (Keening) skills more important? At the most, he would be able to cast spells non stop.

I took me about a month's playing time to finally kill Mr Ur. In the end, it was because I had a companion (from the Morrowind Comes Alive: Recruitable NPCS mod). I got a female Vampire to be my companion (and more).

[Dramatisation] I raised Keening to strike the Heart as many times as I could as Dagoth Ur ran towards me shouting "FOOL! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!". With one mighting swing, he landed a near fatal blow. Desperate to stay alive, I gulped down 3 Restore Health potions and quickly cast my Hoptoad spell - in the nick of time! As Dagoth Ur raised his hand for a final blow, I lept over his head on to the bridge, stumbling my way away from him. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mirear (my companion) rush in to engage Dagoth Ur, determined to protect my life.

Enraged, Dagoth Ur landed hit after hit on Mirear, causing her to cry out in pain. Disoriented by the flurry of blows she received, she could hardly retaliate. As I watched on, I realised that she never had the intention of retaliation....the Heart was still intact! There was no way of hurting Dagoth Ur as long as he is still able to draw divine energies from the Heart. Consumed with the fear of both Dagoth Ur and the fear of losing Mirear, I sat dumbfounded as Mirear continued to receive blows that would have killed a normal Bosmer many times over. My strength seemed to leave me as my bow slowly slipped from my hands...

Time seemed to slow down...the sound of Mirear's screams, the heat from the boiling lava beneath, the stench of the foul air within the Facility Cavern...I continued to stare blankly at Mirear. The last blow from Dagoth Ur shattered her right glass pauldron, sending pieces of glass, glittering red from the lava below us, flying, as if in slow motion, across her face. The largest piece scratched her face in its flight as she turn towards me. My eyes met hers. Tears began to form in both our eyes...is this how it would end? Is this how, after such a long struggle, I would lose both my love and my pride in this Azura forsaken place?

No......no.....NO!!!!

Tears streaked down my dirt covered face. As the Bow of Shadows fell from my right hand, my left wrapped itself around Keening. In a anguish driven craze, I flung my body towards the Heart using my entire body weight to plunge Keening straight through it's pulsating walls. A blinding light exploded from Heart as it dispersed with a forceful, omnidirectional blast, knocking all three of us off our feet. As our eyes readjusted themselves back to the dimly lit Facility Cavern, I looked up and saw Mirear struggling to get up beside the motionless body of Dagoth Ur. When my vision cleared, a smile emerged from my face....there lies Dagoth Ur, with Mirear's Daedric Short Blade of Leeching firmly embedded in his chest. The health absorption abilities of that blade has kept Mirear alive...down to it's very last charge.

It was over. I stumbled towards Mirear and hugged her as the both of us wept tears of relieve, our soft sobs echoing across the walls of the Facility Cavern. [/Dramatisation]

Very nice 😀 *claps and cheers*

Intelligence is essential because you can then brew potions with ease due to alchemy, and you resist every spell sent against you 🙂 .

I see...so he first brewed Fortify Intelligence potions to raise his intelligence, then used the raised intelligence to brew reflect/resist magicka/absorption potions and the like. I would think he will need sanctuary potions too, to "dodge" physical attacks.

Fave games--

For Sega Genesis (yep, mine still works):

Streets of Rage 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Spider-Man/Venom: Seperation Anxiety
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist
X-Men

--------------------------------

Sega Game Gear:

Shinobi 2(hard as hell, but fun)
Batman Forever
Surf Ninjas
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers:The Movie

-------------------------------------

PS2 :

Dragonball Z: Sagas
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Celebrity Deathmatch (hilarious game, but way,way WAY too short)
Shinobi
Ace Combat 4
Gran Turisimo 4
GTA 3
GTA:Vice City
MTV Music Generator 2
Crazy Taxi
The Bouncer
Sonic Mega Collection dvd (all the Sonic games except for "Sonic Adventure" and the ones after it)
Batman Begins(finally, a DECENT 3-D Batman game. Batman:Vengeance was nice, but the vehichle levels were HORRIBLE...ALL the levels rule in "Begins")

And currently, I'm trying to get through "Champions of Norrath:Realms of Everquest", which isn't easy--especially with all the walking around you gotta do), but fun.

...............And that's not all my games...still gotta post my fave PC and Playstation games....maybe my fave Sega Saturn games, too.

action and hero; me too, though I somehow missed the begins one.

Well, if you like Batman , "Begins" rocks. I wasn't too sure about the Tumbler(that tank-like Batmobile in the movie), but after seeing it in the movie and game, I was thinking the same thing Detective Gordon said after seeing it: "I gotta get me one of those...." lol

Only thing I don't like about Begins is that you can only use certain gadgets at certain times. Wanna cut down part of a rope or chain to climb it? Well, gotta wait till you're in the right posistion/distance so the batrang icon pops up. Wanna use smoke bombs or flashbangs? Can't, until after you've scared the crap out of the villans.

Speakin of scarin the villans, the fear events you can create in the game are great. I just wish they let you be more creative in the game and able to mess up more.

You're practically shown what to do, when, and how. Still, it's tons better than the Crapman...er, I mean..Batman and Robin game
