Two different workplaces, neither one having any shared knowledge whatsoever between the two, both called me Shrek. I have been asked to go as Shrek for halloween, but with the exception of this year, I haven't dressed for Halloween in over 5 years. (Then I was Mr. Potato Head WITH interchangeable parts and this year me and my buddy went as Mario and Luigi)

I don't really have nicknames, people have tried but they never stick. Nothing really seems to apply, and I'm kind of glad for that. However, on the forum I've been nicknamed "beast", which I really don't mind. I think it's an accurate reflection of my presence in this community 😛

When I tranferred into my new office 15 years ago a guy transferred in about a month later than me. One of the guys in the office said "ask the new guy" referring to me. I told him that I wasn't the new guy anymore that I am the Oldnewguy...and that stuck. So now I am called Oldnewguy or ONG for short. and i gave it to myself

Man, Y'ALL muthafuckas don't remember ANY of the nicknames I gave you! And I spent all of 15 seconds coming up with each of them! Melamine! Pumpkin! Thirteen! Awesomefort! Sheesh, where is the love? I mean, it's not like I ask for royalties or anything!

It's an autism thing: we tend to name people ourselves--mostly TO ourselves--as a shorthand for including their associated personalities.
