What Books/Sites/Articles Can I Read About Tickling Used As Torture?

I flipped through a book entitled Rack, Rope And Red Hot Pincers (wicked reading!) and one of the tortures is called Licked By Goats where a victim is secured to bench or stocks and has their feet drenched in salt water while goats use their rough tongues to lick the water off causing maddening tickling sensations. I mean we've seen cat licks in the vid section upon a search I did so I was wondering if I could read about this and tickle torture in more detail. Surely there must be a better source than a scant article in a book devoted to brutal torture. Does anyone know of any sources please? :ayyy:

I read of a similar torture method awhile ago, I believe it was uesed by the Romans. Only the tickling sensations was not the goal of the torture, but to rub the feet raw so they would blister. The person was then forced to walk a long distance on their feet. If I recall correctly, it was used for such crimes as trespassing.

And sadly I have yet to find a lot of reading that makes the sadistic side of me smile. But no worries, I am still looking. :evil:

I've been looking and for the most part the role of tickling used as torture is a myth I was sorry to find out. A proper google search will reveal all but the cold hard facts aren't as much fun as the legends and stories told.

I remember seeing many mentions of tickling torture in various books on the subjects of punishment and torture over the years, going back to an old artickle in Popular Science magazine I found at my uncle's house (my uncle, by the way, was a mean tickler). These weren't books written for a fetish audience, these were mainstream books meant for serious students. And while I realize that this in itself doesn't prove anything, the fact that so many scholarly people who DON'T have any particular interest in tickling have mentioned its use as torture is just another thing that convinces me there must have been something to it.

Unfortunately tickle torture in the middle ages or in history is an exagerrated urban legend.

I once read an article about an ancient chinese torture where they'd wrap something around a persons chest, and then tickle them, forcing them to breath heavily and sufficate themselves beacause their chest couldn't expand. I dont know if it's true though.
