Hell, I still consider air travel such a luxury, I can't find it in myself to gripe. You mean you can put me in an aluminum tube for a coupla' hours and get me to the other side of the country safely? And I get to see countryside and cloudscapes on the way?! Wild! Sign me up!
Oh, I have to be groped by security now? Whatever. I've had worse things happen to me.
I guess the thing I miss is the meals. I remember hearing how horrible airline food was (back when they actually served it). I never considered it bad at all, though maybe it was because I was a child/adolescent in the years they were serving them... But it's like, you're in someone's home, and they make you dinner, and sure, maybe it's not the best dinner you ever had, but you're their guest, and they did this nice little thing for you... It's totally a bonus.
But now there's no bonus. So I miss that.
Once I really got jammed up and they had us sit on the plane a couple of hours, then we had to deplane and get on another, but that one was a fluke for me. I'm hard-pressed to find a truly bad experience. That may also be partly my disposition, but that's it, I guess.
