so grok is no longer free and I was wondering what app people use to generate images. or do you just now pay for grok? trying to keep making stuff so any help would be greatly appreciated

Create a workflow that allows you to swap between various image generation models. I would give ComfyUI a shot, and try Seedream, Grok, Nana, etc. It is all API calls from ComyUI, so it might be less restrictive in some cases.
Do you have to pay? Yes, but you have more control and flexibility.

any truth to the new limitations (number of images capable of being generated, etc) on supergrok making it not work the money?

I'm playing around with SuperGrok right now. There are limitations to the number of images and videos that can be generated, but they are only daily limitations. Not sure what the daily image limitation is, but the video one is I believe about 100 videos per day. So it depends on how much you're doing on the site. Playing around for a couple of hours a day probably won't exceed the daily limit.
Right now I'm generating images with the Imagine tool, save the ones I like the most, and Then I can generate images based off those to use as a starting template for videos. Right now I'm working on a Barbarella short video story using Grok.

Grok is still free, the site is just really buggy. Half the time you go to try and make something you get sent straight to the "buy super grok" page, the other half it works just fine. I literally just tried animating a picture it in the middle of writing this post and it worked for me.

edit Looks like it WAS a bug but they actually did take away the free stuff and make it totally pay to use within the past few days

moderation seems to be the issue now. I don't mind paying but if I can't generate anything, there's no point. anyone want to share their experiences with grok in the past week or so?

In the past week I've been able to generate these using Grok (specifically SuperGrok). It's kind of hot or miss. Some days I can generate content like that, others it get moderated. Although I'm the last couple of days I actually got it to generate some male nudity. It was a more animated style (you can get away with more nudity and suggestive images that way) and it was a droid but still...
