......I thought naval war fare was your speciality? but then the U boat war in the north sea did not involve any Americans so of course you are completly ignorant on the subject. Learn your history, learn your history, (were have I heard that before?)

LOL Actually red indian. You need to read your own countries history. If you think WW2 was a North Sea war, you’re sadly mistaken. I suggest you read War Beneath The Sea by Peter Padfield (A UK Citizen) Or Hitlers U Boat War by Clay Blair. Both are authorities of U Boat War analysis. It was called the BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC for a reason. German Air power denied use of the North Sea to the British, just as British Air Power denied use of the North Sea to the German U Boats. If it weren’t for you guys getting your royal butts whipped on the continent and in Norway the U Boats would not have been a threat except they then had bases in France and Norway. From there they were able to access the Atlantic, the North Atlantic and the Arctic. Where the true U Boat war was fought. In fact after December 1942 the U Boat threat was highly over rated by the Brits. US insistence on the Convoy system and the advent of the Escort Carrier (another US Idea) swept U Boats from the seas. In fact Doenitz WITHDREW his U Boats for a 6 month period because the sinking rate of U Boats by US Escort carriers appalled him. Again take a look. Very few U Boats were sunk in the North Sea simply because the Germans moved them out of that region.
