I'm a business major who will be graduating in 8 weeks. Labor law says that with a 2 week notice request for time off you do not need to any reason and if they ask for a reason it is a violation of your privacy rights. They are not even supposed to ask you and if tey do you definitely don't have to answer. This law applies to any company with 25 or more employees. In a business with 50 or more employees you can "call off" day of with no excuse. Employers don't look to kindly on last minute call offs because generally it causes them to end up short staffed. Legally they cant ask why though. Many employers will just take it our of your allotted sick days. Either way your covered. I would recommend asking off early if you have not already done so, but you don't need to tell them anything. All part of the labor laws that help the people but screw small business owners. Obviously certain industries are exempt from these laws, but yours is not one of them.

Well last year when I went to Nest I roomed with tickleshotel who is about 4,6 well when I told my mom about how tall Laurie was and how I had planned to go to a gathering of friends well my mom thought for a while that the gathering was a short people convention. I immediately had images of telling mom about how we sit around and watch the wizard of oz, and dress up as ewoks, and watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.
