What if there was a tickling app?

I just thought about how awesome an app for tickling would be. There r apps for everything these days so y not cater to fetishes, right? What if there was an app that we could chat with other tickle ler/lees about, find people around us, schedule sessions with, and look at pictures and stuff? How cool would that be? Hopefully someone reading this, has some connections and can talk to a developer about this. This could really be something great. Thoughts?

Since this site already does all that, I think the logical thing would be to think about how to set up the TMF as a mobile web page such as weather.com or espn.com has when you browse with an iphone.

Though I have no idea how complex or expensive something like that would be.

I'm a web programmer and I've been meaning to make an app for my Droid. Give me some ideas and ill whip up a prototype. Sounds like a great idea

Awesome! Like backstep said, basically all of the features that the TMF offers. maybe chatting, posting, pics, location feature that shows where all TMF users are around you, etc...

It's called "Safari", the iPhone's web browser.

I surf the TMF on my phone all the time.

As far as an app goes, there's no way it'll fly. Apple is most likely not going to allow an adult-oriented app into the app store, so it would only be of use to people with jailbroken phones.

Now, the Android, on the other hand...

Yes i use my iphone for this website too but i cant chat from here as i am able to do when im on my laptop and this website doesnt have a feature that allows u to see where other TMF's r around u. And there are a lot of websites that also have apps for phones because of user friendliness. It was just an idea and maybe this could go somewhere. As far as apple is concerned, there r a bunch of adult apps on the iphone so........

Dude. Sentences. Please.

Firstly, I was referring to Backstep when I mentioned Safari, because he asked how to browse the TMF on an iPhone.

Now, as to your ideas... I just went to the app store and tried searching for all manner of adult keywords. Apart from blog/podcast feeds and eBooks, I got very few hits for any kind of adult material, and none along the lines of what you're suggesting. Also, as a former mobile content developer, I know that Apple's approval process is lengthy, inconsistent, and weird. For an app like the one you're suggesting to get approved, you'd need as much luck as anything else. I did suggest checking out Android instead, because AFAIK there is no rejection/approval process there.

I also want to mention that, if you're looking to locate TMFers via an iPhone app, good luck with that. This is the largest tickling forum on the Internet and very few people, women especially, fill out their location information. They don't want to be found.

So, to recap;

Is there anything stopping someone from taking the time to develop an app for tickling? No. No, there is not. Is it going to be worth the time? Very, very doubtful. Feel free to give it a go.

As I have a Droid and not an iPhone to test with, the obvious choice for me is developing one for the Droid. I had pictured creating a basic chat interface with links to the user's TMF profile. I was not going to include a picture/video section because we can already access the TMF for that. FWIW though, I do know that someone created an App (at least for android) that will display any vBulletin site in a mobile format.

U know, u sound like a real arrogant prick! No need to bash people on here for their ideas! If u want to chime in, do so in a polite and courteous way.

seems like a good idea to me 🙂 I think it'd be cool to have a tickle interaction kinda app...like a game or something
:rotate:

It would be cool, but I'm 100% behind Phin. It just wouldn't be worth all of the trouble.

If anyone wants to develop a TMF app, we would be behind it 100% and would provide whatever information/support is needed.

Guys, think. How often do your friends grab your phone to make a call or play around? If you had a tickling app there for the world to see, you'd never be able to let your friends see your phone. Hello, constant anxiety.

haha i know! i already hate people getting on my computer...i don't have an iphone anyways..but still...ugh!

Oh it'll be called TMF something. And the login page will have absolutely no distinguishing graphics

On the other hand... maybe I do this kind of development for a living, and I know the ins and outs of what's involved a bit better than the average Joe.

You'll also note, if you re-read my posts again, that I didn't actually tell anyone not to do it. What you call "dumping on someone's idea", I call "being realistic about what's involved in seeing such an idea through", and mentioning things that perhaps people not as familiar with mobile application development might not have thought of... like, say, wasting months of their time on an iPhone app that stands a good chance of being rejected by Apple.

U know what im talking about, u made an unecessary comment about my grammar! Comments like that r not appreciated as well as ur nasty attitude about a somewhat reasonable idea. I get ur point about apple, but there r other avenues to explore like apps for jailbroken iphones or droid.

i always assumed there was one, theres literally an app for everything else
