What is happening with our videos ?

Hello,

It seems that Clips4sale now adds an intro to our video to brand their website.

1) There is no way to opt out it seems
2) This impacts quality !

To add this intro, they basically re-encode it with their own settings.

Real Example :

One my clip : "Alexx first session - a crazy one" is in 4k (2160P). The source files is 1,68 Gb, which is reasonnable for a 7:45 long file.

The clip that is sold to the customer is 0,430 Gb, wich is a reduction by 3.9 times


I don't know what you guys think about this, but the whole point of selling clips and not to go for streaming is to give people the best quality.

If you get Pornhub-Streaming Quality for a full price clip, I find this really ennoying ...

It looks like C4S is getting to be too large to control itself properly.
Its financial status is probably slipping, and so in an effort to funnel more money to the site, they are encoding that intro on the videos to let everyone know, "Yes, WE produced it."

That's just like when they forbade store owners to have a link to a site outside of Clips4Sale unless that site had a link to their clip store prominently displayed at the top or somewhere near the top. Couldn't be at the bottom.

And their customer service sucks too. I had a problem using their Clip Cash Card, because I didn't understand it. I asked them about it, and the guy, BELCHED and then said, "Sorry, nothing I can do." and then hung up.

It may be part of their ineffective fingerprinting system, but it's mostly a cost thing, they reduce the storage and bandwith needed by reducing file size, but at the expense of the customer

What a shitty move. Does this only affect new videos or all videos in your store?

I don't know, but my guess is that they are rolling it to every clips starting with the new ones.

I also don't know if it will happen to wmv files, but mp4 for sure

Just to let you know: I just bought two 1080p clips from two different stores, both 3 days old, one wmv (840 MB) and one mp4 (1.4 GB), and both do not have a clips4sale intro. Everything seems to be normal. Do you still have the problem?

That's weird, seems their process is random
