Double Down rules! Its a brilliant sandwich, no bread! The chicken holds it together. Who ever came up with it should be given the Nobel Prize, or at least a thumbs up. Who cares if you feel like death afterward!

Sometimes the simple stuff is just fantastic. A sandwich with lettuce and roastbeef for instance, or an classic BLT. 🙂

Tough one.

If we're going with just pure popularity and which has the widest appeal, I'd say the basic Italian sub, or maybe the french dip.

If we're actually trying to quantify which particular sandwiches are just the greatest on earth in the sense that they achieve the perfect melding of their ingredients and reach something close to nirvana then I'd have to go with the Vietnamese banh mi or the po'boy.

Additionally, though some my gripe about how strictly this fits the definition of a sandwich, I have to give a shout-out to my Hebrew heritage and add the bagel with lox to the list of the absolute greatest.
