What is the fascination with celery?

Why are some people fascinated with adding celery to food? I saw the truck stop I am at tonight had rice on the buffet.I also saw they had black eyed peas. Two great tastes that taste great together. When I got closer to the black eyes peas,I saw celery mixed in with them.

Now,who in their right mid adds celery to black eyed peas? Dang hoosiers.

Did you know it takes more calories to digest celery,than what calories celery has? Sounds like something a mad scientist would create.

Not that Canada is exactly going the opposite direction of that trend, or anything.

Christ, i remember reading a week ago about a man suing white castle because the booths weren't big enough to fit his fat ass. I'm sorry, but maybe the problem isn't the booths, but the fact your eating WHITE CASTLE FUCKING BURGERS EVERYDAY! HOW ABOUT YOUR PUT DOWN THE BURGER AND EAT A FUCKING SALAD OR TWO?! Seriously, i'm not exactly having a model figure either, but if my pants start getting tight around the waist, i'm not going to blame the pants company, i just need to stop eating so many chips.
