Rick Tibbler nailed it there. It's that sort of ignorance and desperation that makes people shy away on here. It's happened time and time again, and it'll most likely keep happening. That's the issue that pisses me off. I think we'd see more posting by female members and lurkers if they didn't get harassed so much, that's all.

Fair enough, but if you aren't polite to me I don't have to give your arguement the time of day. Frankly I'm for everyone stating their wishes up front. A lot less confusion that way. Besides why blame a bunch of horn bags that aren't likely to change. Let's see if we can solve the issue at hand by encouraging women to stay, instead of pointing our fingers at a bunch people who aren't going to change.

That is my original complaint with the way this thread went. A bunch of blaming instead of solutions.

You are making assumptions here. Besides don't you think it would be better for individuals to decide the way they want to be treated instead of making the mods responsible for everyone's behavior?

I didn't mean to imply that the mods should read people's minds to determine whether they're being harassed behind the scenes. I was merely conceding that part of the problem might be that new women are choosing to give up rather than report abusive PMs... as much as 50 messages requesting footjobs would be the stuff of nightmares. Of course, if a member did take the time to report 50 PMs... I would most certainly expect the mods to investigate and/or ban every sender. That is, after all, their job. If they find it trying... shit... I'll man up and say I'm ready to pitch in. Maybe then the word will spread among the lurverts, the PMs will stop and we'll have more women around here.

That's all I was trying to get at, less blame ... more solutions. Think of it this way. If women don't report being harassed, how do we make this a more friendly place for them? Also keep in mind that everyone is different and some women may actually come here for other reasons than getting to know fellow ticklephiles. Things are not as simple as they seem sometimes. But I'm all for treating people with respect, even more for people demanding respect.

i never said that most men are pigs i said that most men will be men and they don't care, and that was as far as not caring that i had a boyfriend and that's why i still get pm's from guys.

and also, your logic is very unrealistic because a big part of those 22,000 male members you're talking about are lurkers and won't ever say anything to anyone, there are only a 100 tops active male memebers on here and in my personal experience the majority of men that i delt with in real life are pigs and that's just the truth

I'm a Lee, and, I've yet to get a single PM about sex, tickling, or anything related to that.

People send me IMs sometimes, usually, other guys, asking for a little M/M action, occasionally, a girl with IM me, asking to have a conversation.

Now, while this is true, I've had a couple of Females IM me just to RP tickling with me, but, generally, they are lees too, and, it generally doesn't work too well. I'm not a big fan of RP tickling. *note: certain people "know me" well enough to get away with a little of RP tickling, and, its just fun, but, really, its not a form of sexual activity for me.*

That being said, I DO think that more guys are hornbags than girls. *note: not ALL guys are hornbags. I'm a guy, i'm not a hornbag.*

In fact, sometimes i've seen, "hey, its my first post! I'm glad to be a part of TT!" and they get response after response from guys asking where they are ticklish/how ticklish are they/anything and everything about feet or tickling or anything related to the subject matter.

Which, is fine, I guess. I just wish that it didn't keep people away from the community is all. I don't care how the ratio looks, This could be an all guy community (I'd be sad though, cuz I luvs all the ladies I talk to) and it would still be a great place, as long as the conversations are fun and interesting.

But, all that aside, all the guys here should treasure the time we get with the ladies that DO post. They are ALL awesome ladies, *I'm not mentioning any specifically, because, I'd miss somebody and they'd be angry/sad/confused*
and, even if they don't let you get your RP on, chances are, if you were polite, honest, and just wanted to have a great conversation, most of them would be down for it.

I think this really shows itself in one way. I have a few female friends who were interested in tickling and found this place. They saw my name and assumed it was a good place and told me before signing up.

Never before have I been so vehement about someone not joining a forum. I laid out what was likely to happen once they started posting and that alone just clicked with them. It's for this same reason that when my girlfriend draws art, I post the art with her permission rather than her doing it. When it's consciously that bad, there's a problem.

But, as stated before, what can you do about it? I'm willing to hazard a guess that the people doing the PMing are generally lurkers who don't really post. What are you going to do? Slap their wrist and say don't do it again? And when they do, then what? Ban them? They come back under a different name. They lurk. They're just... there.

Really, all you can do as the recipient is ignore them for more intelligent PMs. I can't see too many other options that will end in success. Earlier, someone made the analogy to 'fuck me' clothing. You get the sleazebags there too; they're summarily shot down quickly.

What's needed isn't a mod solution or a revamp of the system to prevent this, or asking these people to be more gentlemanly. What's needed is the realization that dealing with people online isn't so different as dealing with people in real life.

It's true there are not many of us here. 🙄 I suppose there are a number of reasons... But i would be surprised if it's the attention that scares other women off. I admit I have received some but I guess it's just like fun. And to be honest, nearly every guy i've encountered here or on similar forums has treated me with respect. And on the rare occasions when it slips below decent it's pretty easy to avoid them. But in my experience that has been rare. *nodsnods*

I guess for me, I admit i don't post as often as i did say a year ago but, and maybe this is true of other females, there is a lot of other demands on my time which make it difficult to justify to myself spending as much time as i'd like on the board. -I really do apologise for that everyone. 🙁

Anyway, please you guys, don't think that we all don't like you or don't appreciate the attention. You're really great! 😍

One thing I would suggest as a possible factor, the majority themes of the threads are VERY masculine. 😛 I'm lucky if I get a half dozen replies to my fem-polls for instance... But I can't really expect guys to - how does the old sketch go? - press wild flowers and have buttered scones for tea. :laughing:
