Definatley interactive tickling stories is what I'd love to see more of. There was one on Josie the Ticklish Pussycat's site that was really cool. I think there should be more like that.
Sablesword said:Or more to this point - I've read complaints that there's too many stories about elves & aliens & fantastical machines, and hardly any "realistic" mainstream or historical tickling fiction. By people who prefer the later, of course 🙂
Sablesword said:I generally avoid giving weights; I'll give height, and general build, but leave off the "she tipped the scales at ### pounds." I'm not good at visualizing appearances from weight numbers, so I avoid giving myself the opportunity to screw it up 🙂
Tickler_DAE said:I have not read 90-905% of the stories made this year. and even the 5-10% I do some of them I skip the story part because its either to generic or just plain crappy. I know the what the problem is. People are to nice here, no one wants to criticize anyone and look like the bad guy. I have been doing this tact too, but with the lack of any at least decent stories now...

Heather & Anna said:TicklerDAE, critizing people can be VERY damaging! Especially in the earlier stages. We complete agree that overrall with the absence of the truly great tickle writers the quality has slipped, but the 5-10% is usually very good, due to writers learned from others. We prefer to compliment and gently, very gently add constructive ideas to turn good into great!

I would rather get a negative critique, to better understand why such a lack of response, than to bash my head in wondering the next time I sit at the desk.![]()
Writing is fun, but it's never fun to consistently produce stories just to find them each having the same lack of response, due to repeating the same mistakes. (Too long, not enough description, cheesy story-lines, lack of spell-checking, etc.)
Would "all over" be sufficient to indicate that tickling is not focused on in a single location, even if it is not literally all over the body? For example, if a chapter has feet, knees, thighs, butt, privates and belly tickling, that excludes a great deal, yet that's a rather substantial list, and "lower body" in some people's minds equals "feet."Tickler_DAE said:Personally if you make a story I would implore you put what is in it. By putting it in the title. Because I do not like being dissapointed.
ex: "said title"(FM/F, "feet, armpits, breast")
right there will tell me if I want to read it instead of reading a good/bad story to get to the tickling part that focuses on a part I grow tired of reading about(FEET duh). This critism goes to all writters because this mistake have been made by some of the good ones as well.
Tickler_DAE said:nope because what tends to happen is they say all over, but still give a great amount of detail to the feet anyway.
think that females tend to get more feedback than males on their stories, which isn't right but unfortunately is a fact..

But I do care. I believe that most presented opinions often represent a fairly substantial number of people who feel likewise but choose not to speak up. You've spoken a bit to a (slight) frustration I've had, with the pedo-centric attitudes prevalent in our community. It seems like many times you hear "All kinds of tickling!" and you ask for specifics and get "All kinds! We tickle bare feet, feet in stockings, feet in nylons, feet with feathers, feet with fingers, feet with back scratchers, feet with hairbrushes, all kinds!" I like foot tickling the same way I like cheeseburgers, but I don't want cheeseburgers at every meal.Tickler_DAE said:Orange you always get comments on your stories in the chatroom so stop ya whinning.
Tar and other writters just do what ya want, its just what I would want to see. Not like anyone really cares so whatever.

So I am honestly asking what your opinion is. What really is the way to effectively communicate content given finite title limits? Is there a good shorthand we can come up with?
